The never-ending story thread is dead. What was once a popular Castle Paradox attraction frequented by its many members has now fallen to a 62-page pile of repetition and boredom, kept around only by four or five lost souls with nothing better to do. Tell me what you think as we lay to rest this poor old thread.

It was a popular attraction? Neutral

Well, I do find it disheartening when I find out that half of the daily new posts go into that thread.

What I meant by "popular attraction" was that everyone seemed to be doing it.

And for the record, I have stopped posting in the Never-ending Stories, and I will not post ever again. I have been a prime abuser of the Never-ending Stories up til now, but no more! I'd be much better off making a game or writing a review or something.

Is it Aeris-dead, or Phoenix-downable dead?

Don't fret, Lyhn. You've still got Gizmog, Devi Ant and Kizul Emeraldfire to keep you company.

I've never enjoyed stories written in this manner, much less participated, mainly because the people involved aren't really interested in challenging themselves creatively by writing a coherent storyline with the other participants. Instead, it usually becomes a laugh fest, and not really a workshop to hone writing skills, as most of these probably should be treated.

Well, there's still our 4-member dreamteam keeping others laughing. Just need to remember, that it's very rare event, when you can use a joke more, than once.

We need a NES meeting to discuss about, how to bring the laughter back to the holy Never Ending Story... What?!?!

I don't care about the laughs, so long as we beat out The Big Picture thread for biggest thread on CP. Once we've done that, we can worry about quality. Maybe if we actually tried to hold a narrative thread, instead of just the sort of almost stream of conciousness type thing we've got now.

Listen, if y'all ever manage to make the Never-ending Story a little more than random meaningless posts, then maybe, just maybe, you'll be able to lure me back. Happy

I remember a day way back when, where the Never-ending Story was more than just a little four-man slew of pointless posts. The story had continuity, it had meaning, it was actually fun to read. And most importantly, there were more than just a few people running it, it was something the whole community participated in. Ah, those were the days...
