I know I posted this in the Film usergroup last year, but not everyone in that group is even here anymore. Plus, I got the movie uploaded to YouTube.

It's about 3 coworkers that get stuck in an elevator on their lunch break -- when the elevator is still in operation.
It's a short film from George Tsalickis who is a friend of my friend Rob (who owns the recording studio). Rob told me that George was looking for actors and he had called the shop while I was there and said, "Hey George, do you want to be in a movie?" I was like, "...Okay."
Anyhow, some trivia for it:
- It took 8 hours to film this 6 minute video mostly because Ferdinand couldn't get his lines right
- The sexy intern is a real stripper from Tampa Bay
- The director, George Tsalickis, makes 3 appearances as the janitor, the pothead, and the "Roger memo" guy.
- As I'm sure you'll know, I played Mermie, and I was the only one who actually studied the lines.
- George Tsalickis has an infamous habit of writing pretty good movies but getting the worst actors involved.
- This whole film was green-screened; the elevator background was added in post production.
- Don't be deceived -- even though the credits say I composed the main theme, Rob actually composed it. I just did the "funky elevator music" (you might even recognize the piece too; it's up on our gamelist)
At any rate, enjoy. It's pretty funny. _________________

The interesting camera dynamics kept my attention. How it sort of zooms in then pops back out during active parts was good. I even liked the musical score. my crap-for-a-comp kept laggin it up, though. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

Was this film made as part of a 48 Hour Film Competition? I participated in one of those once. Very fun.
Anyway, DukeHughMermie is pretty amusing. The level of cheezyness was actually quite low for a small-time film.
I like the way your character turned towards the wall when the hot intern came in, like he was embarrased. |

Actually, George Tsalickis is in the Bachelor's program for directing at the Tampa Academy of Art and Design. He had a class project to create a short film, and this was his result. _________________
