Well, Rinku hasn't announced it formally yet, so let me do so for him. As you know, he holds a Human Day contest every year around this time with a different theme. This time, let's not beat around the bush: the theme this year is Games the Judges Won't Play. The prize is fantastic (game design literature of cash value $150 or so, plus a pair of immortality rings), but you'll never see it because none of your games will be deemed worthy.
The winner this year will be the creator of the best game that is totally ignored by the judging panel. Last year, some of the judges played some of the games, which is completely unacceptable. The point is that the creator's self-worth not be validated -- heaven forbid he should get any recognition for his contest entry.
The deadline is December 25, as always, but if you miss it, then that's probably an indication that you've caught the spirit of this year's theme. Any game that Rinku actually ends up playing is automatically disqualified.
The trick to this contest is that the judging panel (as in previous years) is actually secret, meaning you don't know who to discourage from playing your game, since anyone could potentially screw you over by playing your game. Can you do it? Do you have the skills to enter the Human Day Contest '06? _________________

I endorse these rules, we'll go by them this year. But one slight modification: since it was Moogle's idea, he decides who the secret panel judges will be, not me. He may, or may not, ask me to be one of the secret judges, but regardless of which he chooses, he may not divulge to you, or even to me, whether I am a judge or not. He may also not divulge to any judge that he or she is a judge. He may also pick himself as one of the judges, but in the event he does, he may not tell himself that he is a judge. Even the judges won't know who the judges are. _________________ Tower Defense Game |

Oh wow, this is the best thing ever.
Entries not announced here will not be considered contest entrants. _________________

Do the judges never know they're judges, and thus the entire community is called to judge? _________________ "Everyone has 200,000 bad drawings in them, the sooner you get them out the better."

If that was known to be true, that'd get in the way of the whole "judges not knowing they're judges" thing, wouldn't it? Please THINK before posting. _________________ UP DOWN UP DOWN LEFT LEFT RIGHT RIGHT A B START |
