I wondered if I should bring this up or not, but I guess I am, so there's no more decision.

When I recently got my widescreen laptop (which is really more like 6 months ago. Recently when I thought about this.) one of the big things I decided to tryout on it was the OHR. Interestingly enough, the program acted in a way that I was not expecting. It creates black bars on the top and bottom of the screen, and stretches the screen to both ends.

The end result turns out with the images somewhat squished. Interestingly enough, if I take a snapshot of the screen (printscreen or F12) it comes out at the normal size.

It doesn't effect playability at all, but I thought it was something interesting to bring up. I'm sure there's nothing in the program that could even come close to controlling this. Has anyone else with a widescreen monitor had the same results?

Try pressing Fn + F4 (or whatever button has what looks like a small screen and a bigger screen) and see if it stretches the image to fill the entire screen.

I used the OHR on a friend's laptop and it fit the widescreen perfectly..

Sadly, that didn't work.

Could it possibly be that my laptop's maximum resolution is 1280x768? Since it's not quite a 16:9 display (16:9.5 to be exact), it might just be happening when the screen is resizing, just as it would a TV signal (say a 16:9 placed on a 16:10 TV would do the same thing.)

It seems weird that, say a widescreen movie would play fine, but I think that just might be it. The OHR has a different native resolution than movies, and that might be why it scales so oddly.

If I didn't like it, I could always play windowed.

I'm running my laptop at 1280x800 widescreen and OHR works just fine. The aspect ratio is a little weird, but not too bad.
