Where can I get some? I have downloaded the nightly, but I can not seem to find any sound effects I could use, except for a few .wav files.
Any web site you all could show me, that has them in .bam .mid. or as a last resort, .mp3?

Well, to name a few, there's the telephone, chirping birds, ocean, and...I was sure that there was another one... |

Midi is not supported for sound effects. You will need to use either WAV or OGG |

lol, I was thinking that... but if you REALLY want the telephone ring, there is a website that ripped all the midi samples into .wav files |

My phone can play real midi files. Every morning I wake up to Mike's version of Running Hell from Cave Story, and Tilde Groove from Wandering Hamster tells me when it is time to go to work :) |

Mine does MIDIs as well as MP3s. When I get a voicemail, the Zelda Item song goes off and I lift my cell phone high above my head. Duh-duh-duh-DUH! _________________

that'S just sooo wrong all the more embarassing when someone who's been disturbed by it says "hey, you're that guy who made that hamster game with an engine whose name cannot be pronounced?" |

Working on the soundtrack to Missing, I was able to pull off door creaks, footsteps, old-fashioned telephone rings, even thunder and rain. Just use your imagination, and try combinations of instruments at different speeds and pitches. _________________ SACRE BLEU!

I understand the creative input, and I'd willingly support it, but come on, OHR supports .wav and mp3s for sound effects, and more often than not, this will give better results... of course, if a contest aimed for a small game file, then would definatly a way to go but until then... |

.wav and .ogg
.mp3 is only available for music, not sound effects. (It's a long story) |

I would be thrilled if anybody responded to my cell phone alarm in that fashion. |

I dont see how me getting a question asked, could get you all talking about cell phones. I have had my question answerd, so this topic should have ended yesterday. _________________ I drew my Icon!

Technically, this thread should've been closed three minutes after you opened it.
And besides, we were just discussing the usefulness of midi in the real world.
No harm done. |
