Get the game here. It is approximately 40% complete of the whole game. For those who are aware of my history of bad games combined with lots of advertising, I hope you'll give this one a chance. The past were attempts at humor/adventure which, never worked out too well, and this is serious/horror, so it will be very different, I promise you.
Three things to be aware of in case you don't read the game's attached document. 1) You can hold 'z' to run in certain areas. 2) In the latest nightly, a bug causes the game to crash if you heal and then access the ability menu. To be safe, exit the menu and then bring it up again after healing. 3) Also in the latest nightly, spinstrike and jump attacks for heroes take FOREVER. While irrelevant to you, I just wanted to note this because I changed any spinstrike attacks your hero has.
I think that's it. For best results, play in complete darkness fullscreen (or as dark as possible), the graphics are also easier to see that way.
EDIT: What the hell... this doesn't make any sense. It seems the reason Twinhamster couldn't see anything at all is because the palette is messed up! I don't know what the heck is going on, but for some reason my palette has been set so that all the dark colors have become incredibly dark... I can't see anything either!! What the fuck! This doesn't make any sense... all backup palettes I have seems to have the same effect! I don't understand this at all!
This makes no sense at all.. I've reuploaded so that the regular download has the bright version of the game. I don't know what is going on, but this is not cool. When the hell did this happen? _________________ http://www.castleparadox.com/gamelist-display.php?game=750 Bloodlust Demo 1.00

When you referred to it as v1.0, I thought it was a finished game.
However, the game description sure makes it sound awesome.
I'll check it out and give you some feedback soon!
[edit]Wuu...My tummy hurts...
Well, its a bit too dark for my liking, mainly because I can't really see anything.
The level-down system is pretty interesting though.
I'm going to play a bit more and hope that the imagery doesn't make me puke... _________________ Look back and you've already lost.

It is an updated version from what you had me beta-test with right?
Hopefully I'll manage to get around *that* bug now... (the one that prevented me from completing the previous version) |

I hope so. I had it happen to me too. I pretty much got any bug that might occur cause of the GAME, but as far as the executable goes, it's like Russian Roulette. :/
Inspiration, did you try playing it in the dark? If you play at night without any lights on, it's much easier to see. _________________ http://www.castleparadox.com/gamelist-display.php?game=750 Bloodlust Demo 1.00

Yeah, v1.0 and 40% done? That's not how it usually works. It's more normal to be v0.4 if it's 40% done.
Also, wasn't there an old old old Ohrrpgce game named BloodLust back in the days of RPG-Online? _________________ Tower Defense Game |

Whether it works or not that way seems irrelevant. Topic title was clear and we had to assume it was a "first demo release", I don't see why everyone didn't get that? Even if im a maniac with version umbers normally... lol
Aight then, I'll give it a try and see what different results I get with all the nightlies until I get one to finish the 2nd dungeon flawlessly |

..ok,a feedback: too many words inside your textboxes
..you type as if you were typing precise words in a movie script; too much emotion put into words that did not fit the main character itself.if i were with the hero,i might tell him "WILL YOU PLEASE SHUT UP!?YOU TALK TOO MUCH!!!" ..and still, even if the player were talking to himself,i still might say the same thing.
..if you really dont want to remove irrelevant textboxes, add movements to your character using extra sprite frames and plotscripting.that way,the players might relate to the character more without having to get bored of redundant lines. |

Does the atmosphere work? Is it creepy at all? |
With my experience, it was way too dark to notice any atmosphere until an instance of gore and blood pops up.
Could you lighten the screen a tad bit more? |

indeed, if you don'T play in complete darkness, you will even miss a NECESSARY door... I really think the cleaning brighter version is a good avdvice, a slightly less textboxes was also one of my concerns in beta as I told you, but it isn't so bad, only in rare occurences does it truly get heavy And ya, sorry, exam week, I have STILL not gotten around to see if the bug is still there :S |
