Has anyone else noticed the sudden flood of pornospam in the forums? _________________ A broken clock is still right twice a day. |

Uh, yeah.
What I'd like to know is why THIS is being accepted as not-spam. |

Over on Surlaw Forums, we have had zero (0) bots since we set up a verification question: "Spell walrus backwards."
If you somehow can't do that, we don't want you posting anyway, and it's been 100% effective (!) in preventing spambots. _________________

The verification question is excellent, by the way. I've just had to delete 5 bot threads just within the last hour or so. What's disturbing is that I have to make the rounds of checking CP for new posts every 8 hours, and each time I find like 4 new posts. That's on average ~12 new bot posts per day. Significantly higher than it used to be. |

~12 a day is pretty close to the rate they hit the wiki. They all get blocked because you aren't allowed to post anything which contains http:/ unless you are on the "Not Evil" list. |
