CP wouldn't let me upload. Sorry I am late.
Entry by me and my sister, TheHopper. We didn't finish. Not enough time to get the scripting to work. Near the worst thing I've ever submitted to a contest. It was fun, thank you for your time.

Haha, what a crazy story as to how ours came together. It's still not perfect, lots of little things to fix, but overall, I am very satisfied with it. It's great, and I think captures the esscene of a kid game. I mean, pssh, kids love dinosaurs and candy right? Ha. I'm glad this week had more entrants than last week for sure. Good luck to everyone!
P.S. : Oh! If you choose to review "Prince of Dreams" sometime in the near future, please hold off til after the contest voting is over with, because TwinHamster and I plan on reuploading it with all of our corrections and maybe some little things, nothing gameplay or story changing of course. _________________ ---------------Projects----

Agh... late again.
Let's just say trying to work out the scripting bugs was very frustrating... I'm still not sure how to fix it. Anyways, to properly play through the game without getting buffer overload messages, you'll have to avoid dying.
A good learning experience... that's what it was.
Anyways, my game, Remi and the Pastel Sword, is now available here:

Or, you could play it with wip version, and probably not get any overload errors.
Yep, just tried to play it with wip version, and died. No script overload.
then again playing with qb version doesn't cause script overload either.
RMZ's game is buggy, the dude's game doesn't seem to have any plots whatsoever(killing shadows and leveling up seems to be all there is to it) can't download tmc's game, and haappy's seems to be the best out of the whole bunch(yes its better then mine)
edit: on a second thought, happy's game is buggy too, sometimes I can't kill the monsters even when I swing with the sword. _________________ Try my OHR exporter/importer.

Bah...
I just realized my game starts in level 3. That's probably why there aren't any overload errors. When I get home from classes, I'll upload a minor fix in the zip file (I'll still include the old one for voting purposes).
Re: bugs. Yeah, you'll only kill things if you hit their top left pixel, and they'll only hurt you if their top left pixel touches you.
EDIT: Okay... zip file now contains both the stupid start-at-level-3 version and the less stupid play-all-the-levels version. Also... I can't seem to get the music to work when playing the ones made with the nightly WIP (Duck's Little Adventure and Prince of Dreams)... It's the first time I've used that version... anyone know what might be wrong?
Also, I did trying playing my game with the WIP version. It does seem to get rid of buffer overload messages. Found another bug, though. It seems that if you die in a level, when you beat the level, you'll 'beat' it an additional time for every life you lost in that level, making you see the 'level complete' script more than once, and earning you mucho points.
Just avoid dying... that's my advice. _________________ A sheep doesn't get to do anything! |

Oh... okay.
Well, I've checked PoD in custom, and it seems that it is supposed to have music. Also, when I play my own game using the WIP version, its music doesn't play either... _________________ A sheep doesn't get to do anything! |

Oh... that second one (sdl) did the trick. Thanks, James. You rock.
Games are much better with music... I guess having all these versions available is a little confusing to me. _________________ A sheep doesn't get to do anything! |
