Simply curious if there is/was a top OHR games list.
I've been wanting to play the creme de la creme and I'm a tad too lazy (Shocking right?) to go through and read all the reviews. So i can see how high I need to set the bar.
Other than that amazing (craptastic?) game by the internet famous Ryan Simonetta, have there been any other OHRs that have stood the test of time? (10 years is ancient by internet terms)
(this was also a flimsy excuse to post on the forum...) |

Craptastic? Hey, that game spawned an army of fan sequels and launched an epic contest series to boot. I'd like to see the "great" games do that.
Those sequels are on the game list, by the way, in a single file. Should bring a smile to your face. Since most of us didn't play the real sequel, we didn't know what "Magnus" was, so the fan sequels attempted to figure it out.
The range of explanations is startling--well, hilarious actually. _________________ Progress Report:

..hmmm..since Shadwoii seem to have forgotten completely how he rated my game as A+ or A- , i would suggest adding Crescent Dream to your list.it's not a classic, but im pretty sure it's at least worth playing. |

I Made Dis.
Fox And The Eight-Six.
Super Concentration Headache Battle Warrior.
Burgertory.
Super Walrus Chef.
Reiterating:
City Of Dreams.
Lolsidothaldtremobine.
Spellshard: The Black Crown Of Horgoth.
You might notice I like mostly unconventional games. Most of them don't rely on story so much as gameplay, and the ones that do have such a marriage of story and gameplay to be admired. Maybe only two of them are actual RPGs, mostly because I'm not so crazy about RPGs, especially the kind that get made with OHR. I'd also recommend taking a look at my own Mazes Of Persistence.
Hopefully this will give you a decent enough start, Mr. Jerusalem. |

We used to run a Top 30, which I kept on my site, but the site's been deceased for a long time. Most of the records have been lost, but as of Fall 2004, this was the top 30. Bear in mind that several good/well-known games have come out since then. Also, I didn't MEAN to pick the season where I had the top two games, but it's the most recent one still on archive.org (Go and check if you want proof).
(I think it's about time to have a new poll, since the most recent ones have been lost to time! Someone wanna get on that?)
Edit: This thread has the voting for the most recent Top 30 poll. No list, though: Here

OMG.... the sequels to magnus are just great.. I really don't believe I could do justice if I wanted to go back and do another magnus game. The community really took it in an interesting direction.. I think the legends outgrew the man (or boy?)
WOW.... you guys are nuts(I mean it in a good way) I can only imagine what you thought of me...
Anyway back to my "research" |

Woah -- Pitch Black 2 scored higher than Pitch Black!? I was unaware that anyone ever beat it. |
