..here i am again with another problem.please take a look at this screenshot:
..this happens a lot recently.in this case,it always happen after every second sound effect played within game.exe. another case would be when pushing any directional button after entering a certain door.oh,and another case is when sometimes accessing the main menu (game.exe)..and finally,it happened once when i was previewing a sound within the "edit attacks" menu in custom.
..now my question is: is this a "crash"?..i think i havent experienced ohr crashing like this before (one time there was this error window informing me that OHR crashed),so i wouldnt know.
..or is something wrong with my OS?(windows xp) |

No this isn't your OS's fault. I assume that the problem with non-midi-bam sounds hasn't been resolved yet. _________________ Try my OHR exporter/importer.

Some questions: what version of game.exe are you using (which backends, and what version number/date?) Have you tried using other backends?
Also, could you download the ohrrpgce-wip-fb-silence nightly build and play with it a bit, and see if all of those problems go away? That build has no music or sound, but some of the things you describe might not be sound effects/music problems.
Also, what format music/sound effects are you playing? _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

..hmmm,i just use the "default" nightly build.and its the one i downloaded just today.no,havent tried any other backends.
..as for the music/sound effects format,i used midis and some wavs (though it was automatically converted to ogg)
..also,ive just discovered something very very weird(im pretty sure it's a bug,but im at work right now so i cant enter it to bugzilla, sorry!).after the first battle in game.exe and the second battle commenced, the second sound effect that will play will make the heroes automatically "win"/end the battle.after that bug, every battle that will follow will just take the hero back to the map.and oh,and when i try to access the menu, nothing will happen (just the "confirm" sfx will play). |

Ah! Fenrir has reported nearly exactly the same thing: '' . bug_title('374') . ''
What game are you playing (what is ES.rpg?) Is it just the one game, or do you get crashing when:
*playing old games with MIDI/BAM music only and no sound effects
*other recent games with sound effects? _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

Download and use the fb-sdl build instead (from here http://hamsterrepublic.com/ohrrpgce/nightly/ohrrpgce-wip-fb-sdl.zip) It doesn't have that crashing problem.
Incidently, if anyone has run into any crashes at all using the fb-sdl build (especially around music and sound effects) and aren't using MP3 music, could they speak up? _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |
