Okay, I know I got the answer to this before, but I can't find it after browsing several pages worth of topics.
When I import my bitmaps into OHR, I save it via Photoshop. When I import though, all the colors don't come out right. There might be six colors, but only five import, despite the same palette colors being used. Indexing with Photoshop doesn't help either.
I think the Mad Cacti said you had to do a certain something, but I don't remember the procedure. Can someone give me the solution to the problem again? Thanks.
(This goes for both importing screens and walkabouts) _________________ http://www.castleparadox.com/gamelist-display.php?game=750 Bloodlust Demo 1.00

Index with PS, convert back to 24bit RGB, import the result.
If this doesn't work, then you are indexing to the wrong palette. |

I'm pretty sure it's the correct palette, but the procedure didn't work. That certain color still won't import (I even checked and made sure that color is on the palette). _________________ http://www.castleparadox.com/gamelist-display.php?game=750 Bloodlust Demo 1.00

Actually, you don't need to reconvert your backdrop to 24-bit, the OHR can import 8 bit BMPs. Just "Import with current master palette". Walkabout sprites are a different matter though.
Did you index your backdrop with the OHR master palette, or with an optimal palette? If you save as a 8-bit BMP, both should import equally well.
If you still don't get it working, you could post your BMP here (assuming you're using the default master palette) _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

But wait, 24-bit BMPs didn't work? They should as well. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |
