I've never been to these boards but I was feeling nostalgic today and found this board when I searched for Fat Frog. I'm shocked to find it here. I was the music composer for the game so long ago and had no idea it was still around.

I never even knew there was a message board for these games either. Nice to meet you all though. I've kind of had a desire to do music for a game again. Maybe we can recreate Fat Frog some day. I'd like to get involved again. Somtimes I think I'm getting too old for this but secretly its what I enjoy. Anyone here play Fat Frog before?

And I'm not sure where this thread belongs. So feel free to move it. Thanks.

Of course we know Fat Frog RPG! In fact, it is what brought me to this community almost ten years ago. I've always liked the World Map theme of Fat Frog. It is nice to meet you and I hope that you do stick around.

Now I feel obligated to play this game.

I've never actually worked with OHR before. I'm not quite sure how to even get started. I actually would just like to stick to music. I'd like to get the old kumkwat software team together again even though we all have moved on to differant things in the last 10 years.

Meatballsub, thanks for the compliment on the song though I barely recall what it sounded like. I wrote it 10 years ago Happy Im surprised anyone has ever even payed attention to the music.

What could I do if I wanted to do music for a game? I only write mp3 though. Midi's create differant sound on differant sound cards so I hate using them.

You could do some music for my game (Gerania) if you want. However MP3s are really big, so I still prefer MIDIs. What also works is making really small MP3s (Mono, short) and then converting them to the lowest quality OGG, then the size is usually acceptable (up to 400 KB per song is okay).

Does this ring a bell, WDRPGWD? Happy

The last I heard, Kumkwat was making a next-gen console game called Kalantar, but that was announced almost ten years ago and I'd be willing to bet nothing has happened with it since then.

gimmick account.

why are people worried about filesizes? if a game goes to say, 50 mb, ok, sure, i guess that's understandable, but we are in the age of broadband where a 50mb download is a 5 minute download.

so make your mp3s and convert them to 320 kbps oggs!!

Problem is that you can't upload big files.

quit trying to ruin my thread! Happy

Meatbalsub, thanks for loading that song for me. It brings back memories.

Kalantar is still around and might be finished one day. I wrote all the music already but it never got finished.

Rya, I have no problem doing music if you need it. Let me know what kinds you need and if you want MIDI or OGG.
