a preview of something I hope will be done in time for the next issue:
(it's not a new OHR version) |

Looks like a GUI-based wrapper. _________________

That'd be nice, but that's currently impossible to do with the OHR (as far as I know anyway) |

Then not a wrapper technically. I am guessing that it edits an .rpg file regardless, though. _________________

Nifty!
How much functionality does it have so far?
What language is it written in? Which windowing toolkit? |

None! It's going to be a writeup on what a next-gen interface for an OHR would look like. It's being done in Visual Basic .NET Express (which is free), although after the interface is all done I guess it wouldn't be too far to put functionality into it. I hope by the time I finish the article I'll figure out how to publish .NET apps so I can let everyone play around with it in real-time.
Ideally a real interface would be done in something cross-platform like GTK. |

Figures that after I publically show this..
The computer I was doing this one had it's PSU die -again-. It was shipped off to HP yesterday for warranty repair. It's also the only Windows computer I have access to, so I can't work on this right now. I mean, I could draw the GUI using a paint tool, but that's not as interesting, and I'd still like to be able to compile something so people can mess with this.
So, I'll try to make it, but it looks like it might be too late to get into the next issue. |

Yeah, going to miss the next issue. Just got the computer back, and they had wiped it. But it runs perfectly now.
(I couldn't back anything up on it since the drives were SATA and all of my computers are IDE) |

You can get IDE->USB and SATA->USB adapters for attaching either kind of hard drive externally. |
