Spiffy!
======================================
Box 1
--------------------------------------
Greetings, Bob. Spiffy day, isn't it?
...But not all is well here. I hear
that there is trouble at the castle.
======================================
Box 2
--------------------------------------
Good day, stranger. I am a traveler.
I wander from place to place for no
good reason.
In my travels, I have found that the
best way to avoid enemies is to stick
to the roads.
======================================
Box 3
--------------------------------------
James: G'morning Bob, looks like we
may have some work to do today.
All kinds of battle noises have been
coming from the castle. Go check it
out, and then come back and tell me
what's going on over there.
======================================
Box 4
--------------------------------------
Bob: Um. Okay, where is the castle?
James: You know perfectly well where
the castle is!
Bob: Oh, yeah. Follow the path, right?
======================================
Box 5
--------------------------------------
Bob: What's up? I haven't ever seen
anybody guarding this gate before.
Aren't you guys usually sleeping at
this time of day?
Guard: Go away, little hamster. This
castle belongs to Lord Broaste now.
======================================
Box 6
--------------------------------------
Guard: Go away.
======================================
Box 7
--------------------------------------
Bob: Boulders in the road? This must
be a cheap ploy to keep me from
progressing in the game before I
talk to somebody.
======================================
Box 8
--------------------------------------
Bob: Will those plot-boulders be
gone now?
James: What boulders? I know nothing
of plot-boulders. I deny it all!
======================================
Box 9
--------------------------------------
Yugo: Weelcome to my shaup! Here yoo
may buy things vith your gold.
======================================
Box 10
--------------------------------------
Guard: By the order of Lord Broaste,
None may enter the castle
======================================
Box 11
--------------------------------------
James: We disagree.
Bob: Yeah! Let us in or feel the wrath
of my mallet!
======================================
Box 12
--------------------------------------
Guard: Aaaargh! Lord Broaste shall
hear of this!
======================================
Box 13
--------------------------------------
Dave: Be sure to buy lots of carrots
before venturing out to fight
monsters
======================================
Box 14
--------------------------------------
Hal: This town is owned by Lord Hasim.
He lives in the castle northwest
of here.
======================================
Box 15
--------------------------------------
Palskovitch: We need a card table in
this room!
======================================
Box 16
--------------------------------------
Bob: There were a bunch of guards at
the gate. They wouldn't let me in.
They said Lord Somebodyorother
is in charge now.
======================================
Box 17
--------------------------------------
James: What? Lord Broaste must have
taken the castle from Lord Hasim!
We have to do something! Lord
Broaste is evil and malicious.
Bob: So you want me to go pummel him?
======================================
Box 18
--------------------------------------
James: Yep. And I'm coming along too.
Bob: What good would you be? Im the
one who knows all of the Ninja-
Hamster-Fighting techniques.
James: Ah, but you forget. I am an
accomplished Bubble Mage. Lets go.
======================================
Box 19
--------------------------------------
Guard: Bow before Lord Broaste, you
puny peons!
======================================
Box 20
--------------------------------------
Guard: I despise this carpet.
======================================
Box 21
--------------------------------------
Bob: You must be the bad guy!
James: Lord Broaste! What have you
done with Lord Hasim?
======================================
Box 22
--------------------------------------
Lord Broaste: Hahaha! I rule this
castle now. Lord Hasim is locked
up in the dungeon.
======================================
Box 23
--------------------------------------
James: We can't permit this!
Bob: Yeah! Hasim is a comparitively
nice guy!
Prepare to be pummeled!
======================================
Box 24
--------------------------------------
Guard: ...Um
We didn't really like that
Broaste guy... We were...
Brainwashed! Yeah! thats the
ticket! We were brainwashed.
======================================
Box 25

Guard: Please find Lord Hasim!
======================================
Box 26
--------------------------------------
Found a Carrot!
======================================
Box 27

monsters.
======================================
Box 28
--------------------------------------
Formo: Welcome to the Inn! Sleep
here and regain your health
and magic.
======================================
Box 29
--------------------------------------
Mills: There are monsters on the
outskirts of town, and in the forest
between here and the castle, so
watch your step.
======================================
Box 30
--------------------------------------
Guard: Normally, no-one is allowed
to enter or exit this outhouse, but
since you are a friend of Lord
Hasim, we can make an exception.
======================================
Box 31
--------------------------------------
James: I have a really spiffy idea.
Bob: What?
James: Well, Lord Broaste is dead now,
so lets go take over his kingdom!
there won't be anybody to stop us!
======================================
Box 32
--------------------------------------
Guard: You may not go this way!
======================================
Box 33

take it, but now I can't reach
it!
Bob: That's what you get for being
paranoid!
======================================
Box 36
--------------------------------------
Bob: Better not. He is watching.
======================================

Bob: No... James sent me to find out.
Friar Bill: In that case, go and see
for yourself. I won't keep you.
======================================
Box 45
--------------------------------------
Bob: I just saw a bunch of guards at
the castle gate. They were rude.
Friar Bill: Yes. Loard Broaste seems
to have overpowered Lord Hasim.
Go back to town, and tell James
immediately.
======================================

Found a Bone
======================================
Box 60
--------------------------------------
Rolf: Lord Hasim is locked at the top

further, so maybe you would like
to buy some of these carrots?
======================================
Box 61
--------------------------------------
Myrmidon: Graaaa! Intruders! Now I
take revenge for the death of my
master, Lord Broaste!
======================================
Box 62
--------------------------------------
Hasim: Thank you for rescuing me,
kind peasants! Where is Lord
Broaste? He will pay for locking

James: He already has! We pummeled
him downstairs.

======================================
Box 69
--------------------------------------
Jake: I wonder where these silly Rocks
came from. They appear to just
be in the way.
Have you talked to James yet?
he might know something about
them. His house is on the island
in the middle of town.
======================================
Box 70
--------------------------------------
Jake: There is big trouble at the
castle. I'm sure of it!
======================================
Box 71

THE PLIP TAMER'S
HOUSE
Always the best choice for all of your
slime-training needs
======================================
Box 73
--------------------------------------
Tame Plip: Uweeeerp-Squeeeee!
======================================
Box 74
--------------------------------------
Apprentice: If you wish to practice
fighting techniques, just speak
to the Plip Tamer.
======================================
Box 75
--------------------------------------
Apprentice: I have been studying
Plips. We raise tame Plips here,
and many wild plips live out in
the grasslands, and on occasion
you may spot the imposing
UberPlip. It has three heads.
======================================
Box 76
--------------------------------------
Appretice: Other kinds of Plips live
elsewhere.
Bob: What kinds?
Apprentice: The fire-breathing Red
Plips, the elusive Plipfish, and
the ferocious Plaaarp.
======================================
Box 77
--------------------------------------
Plip Tamer: Welcome. Are you here
for battle training?
Bob: Is it free?
Plip Tamer: Of course! I would never
accept money for my art! Are you
ready to fight?
======================================
Box 78
--------------------------------------
Bob: Great! I'm ready!
Plip Tamer: Good. The first battle
will be easy. Just fight.
I will stand by, just in case
things get out of control.
======================================
Box 79
--------------------------------------
Bob: I want to fight again.
Plip Tamer: Very well. This battle
will be tougher. These Plips are
capable of curing themselves, but
they can only do so twice.
======================================
Box 80
--------------------------------------
Bob: Again! Again!
Plip Tamer: Okay. This Plip is very
hard to hit. It attacks by jumping
high into the air, and landing on
you. While it is in the air, you
cannot hit it.
======================================
Box 81
--------------------------------------
Bob: That was cool! The Pink Plip's
Jumping attack reminded me of
Kain's "Jump" in Final Fantasy 2.
Do you know what I mean?
Plip Tamer: ...I have no idea what you
are talking about...
======================================
Box 82
--------------------------------------
Plip Tamer: I think that is enough
for now.

Plip Tamer: Just you by yourself will
never be able to beat a swarm like
this. This is a case when you want
a spread attack.
Bob: How do I get a spread attack?
Plip Tamer: Pick up that big rock.
======================================
Box 85
--------------------------------------
Plip Tamer: That SmartRock will hit
every single enemy when you throw
it. You can only use it one, but
once will be enough.
To throw it, pick it from your
ITEM list during battle.
Bob: Use as an ITEM? Okay. I'm ready.

Guard: Too Bad. We have our orders.
======================================
Box 89

Dr. Doug: This device is a matter
translocation terminal.
Bob: A warp hole?
Dr. Doug: That sounds so low-brow. I
like my name for it better.
======================================
Box 90
--------------------------------------
Bob: So can I use it?
Dr. Doug: As a scientist, I must warn
you that there are many inherent
dangers in remote molecular
reconstruction. But as a layman,
I have to say go for it! It is
a real buzz.
======================================
Box 91
--------------------------------------
Bob: Haha! We got him!
Hasim: Thank you, friends. I never
could have defeated him alone.
Now, let us return to my throne
room.

Lord Hasim: Thank you for restoring
me to my throne. Go to the basement
of the castle, and choose your
reward.
Bob: Wow, thanks!
======================================
Box 96
--------------------------------------
Lord Hasim: You will always be welcome
in my realm.
======================================
Box 97
--------------------------------------
Guard: Thanks for bringing home the
bacon-- er, I mean saving Lord
Hasim.
======================================
Box 98
--------------------------------------
Guard: There is some really groovy
stuff in the basement.
Bob: Oh-No! Not groovy!
======================================
Box 99
--------------------------------------
James: Bob, do you even know what
"Groovy" means?
Bob: ...No
======================================
Box 100
--------------------------------------
Bob: Please tell me what a groovy is!
Is it dangerous?
Guard: It's an adjective, not a noun.
Bob: AAAAA! What is an adjective? Is
It as dangerous as a groovy?
======================================
Box 101
--------------------------------------
Bob: Let's not talk to this guy, okay?
He knows too much about dangerous
creatures.

kept in this dungeon. It is a
good thing that Lord Broaste did
not know that, or these treasures
would be gone by now.
======================================
Box 117

Guard: You have permission to take one
of the treasures. You may only pick
ONE, so choose very carefully.

Bob: Yeah! What's up with that?
Guard: Well, Perhaps you will find
someone who can equip it somewhere.
======================================
Box 121
--------------------------------------
Mespar: Good day, friends. If you plan
on climbing this mountain, I must
warn you that many monsters live here
Bob: Ha! Monsters don't frighten us,
right James?
James: ...right...
======================================
Box 122
--------------------------------------
Mespar: If you are tough enough, you
will have no trouble with the trolls,
but I doubt you are prepared to fight
undead.
Bob: Undead?
======================================
Box 123
--------------------------------------
Mespar: Yes. There are ferocious
zombies on this mointain that can
only be killed with magic.
James: I have bubble magic!
======================================
Box 124

Mespar: Water magic is mostly-useless
on undead monsters, but I can sell

Meumei: Haha! thats right, rodent.
Now be gone.
======================================
Box 173
--------------------------------------
Meumei: HSSSSS! How dare you! I will
teach you respect!
======================================
Box 174
--------------------------------------
Meumei: ...
======================================
Box 175
--------------------------------------
Bob: Where am I? That snake must have
swallowed me whole!
======================================
Box 176
--------------------------------------
Rest by the fire?
======================================
Box 177
--------------------------------------
Zoe: I have tried to plant sunflowers
here, but they never grow.
This is my last sunflower seed.
Will you take it, and plant it if
you ever find a place it will
grow?
======================================
Box 178
--------------------------------------
Zoe: Thank you! Remember, not just any
patch of dirt will do. It has to
be a SPECIAL place.
======================================
Box 179
--------------------------------------
Zoe: No? Well, if you change your mind
I'll still be here.
======================================
Box 180
--------------------------------------
Zoe: Good luck. Let me know if you
ever get the seed to grow.
======================================
Box 181
--------------------------------------
Zoe: You sold the seed? What for?
I can't give you another one,
that was all I had.
======================================
Box 182
--------------------------------------
Dusty: Forget it. Dragging me across
that Troll-infested mountain was
bad enough, but now you expect me
to storm this castle with you?
no thanks! I'm staying right here.
======================================
Box 183
--------------------------------------
Bob: Okay, Bye.
James: Sorry for the inconvenience.
======================================
Box 184
--------------------------------------
Dusty: I want to go home now. Take
me back over the mountain. I
didn't want to come here in the
first place!
======================================
Box 185
--------------------------------------
...
======================================
Box 186
--------------------------------------
Skeppio:You are a rodent... but I have
no specific reason to dislike you.
Bob: Gee, thanks. Thats the nicest
thing anybody has said to me all
day.
======================================
Box 187
--------------------------------------
Rathmara: Certain kinds of magic are
more effective on certain kinds of
enemies. Fish are weak to ice, undead
are weak to fire and light, and
enemies with metal armor are weak
to lightening. Learn what spells to
use, and your battles will be easier
======================================
Box 188
--------------------------------------
Kusar: I don't need your buisness
======================================
Box 189
--------------------------------------
Jasheema: We do not normally allow
non-felines to rest here, but I
can make an exception for the right
price.
======================================
Box 190
--------------------------------------
Fluffy-Mu: hrrrm. Rodent. You are
brave to come before me. Do you wish
to know your future?
======================================
Box 191
--------------------------------------
Fluffy-Mu: Then depart.
======================================
Box 192
--------------------------------------
...I see a form writhing in the mist.
I see a Hamster, bound and betrayed.
The shape takes form. Eyes glow,
venomous breath whispers...
The coils of fate twine around the
Hamster, drawing him through despair
into doom and darkness.
======================================
Box 193
--------------------------------------
Bob: Stop it! You are scaring me!
======================================
Box 194
--------------------------------------
Fluffy-Mu: Oh! I'm sorry. Sometimes
I get carried away. If it makes you
feel any better, my visions only
come true about 91% of the time, so
you might not really be doomed.
======================================
Box 195
--------------------------------------
Glibby: Setting up shop in this town
was a mistake. You are the only one
to come in here for weeks.
======================================
Box 196
--------------------------------------
James: Wait, Bob. We might have to do
some fighting. Equip me with my hat.
My bubble magic is almost useless
when I am not wearing it.
======================================
Box 197

a carrot has grown here.

======================================
Box 198

Bob: Who said that!?

======================================
Box 215

======================================
Box 216

Inn Guard: Travelers may sleep here...

you will have to look elsewhere
======================================
Box 217
--------------------------------------
Jasheema: No! Not on the beds!
Use the back room.
======================================
Box 218
--------------------------------------
Myrmidon: So you are the punks who

an ugly surprise
======================================
Box 219

Broaste's broom closet! Graaa!
======================================
Box 220
--------------------------------------
Bob: Uh-oh...
James: Something is creepy here.
======================================
Box 221
--------------------------------------
Broaste Ghost: You! Now I will have my
revenge from beyond the grave!
======================================
Box 222
--------------------------------------
Bob: Hey! this isn't a broom closet!
======================================
Box 223
--------------------------------------
Broaste Ghost: Hahaha! you can't beat
me! I am already dead!
======================================
Box 224
--------------------------------------
James: Lets get out of here!
There has to be a way to beat
beat him, but until we figure
out how, we had better scram!
======================================
Box 225
--------------------------------------
Bob: Hehehe! I'm getting used to this.
I wish we had a mirror.
James: Quiet! We are trying to be
sneaky, remember?
Bob: You be quiet! Mymidons bellys
can't talk!
======================================
Box 226
--------------------------------------
Bob: Its stuffy in here! I can barely
see anything.
James: Just be glad you aren't the
bottom half!
======================================
Box 227
--------------------------------------
James: Ow! Ow! You are stepping on my
face!
Bob: Sorry, but if you would hold me
steady I wouldn't have to!
======================================
Box 228
--------------------------------------
Bob: What is that thing?
======================================
Box 229
--------------------------------------
Granny Broaste: So you have met my
grandson I see. He is cursed you
know. Ever since... well...
Please break the curse. He has done
some awful things, but he used to
be such a nice boy.
======================================
Box 230
--------------------------------------
Granny Broaste: Search the Castle and
see if you can find anything that
might remind him of his youth.
Perhaps that will break the curse
and let him rest in peace.
======================================
Box 231
--------------------------------------
Guard: None shall pass!
======================================
Box 232
--------------------------------------
Guard: Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't know
was you Sir.
======================================
Box 233
--------------------------------------
Bob: ... Ah, yes, hrrmm...
At ease soldier! You do good
work. Go take a break, and I will

Box 234
--------------------------------------
Guard: Thank you Sir!
======================================
Box 235
--------------------------------------
Take the Lunch?
======================================
Box 236
--------------------------------------
Bob: Nah, I don't want it that bad.
======================================
Box 237
--------------------------------------
Bob: I already have the lunch...
he will never notice it is gone
======================================
Box 238
--------------------------------------
Bob: I can't! He is watching!
======================================
Box 239
--------------------------------------
Stole the Lunch!

======================================
Box 240

Bob: Three carrots? wow. what a well
balanced meal

Box 243
--------------------------------------
Found Broaste's Teddy Bear!
======================================
Box 244
--------------------------------------
Bob: Whats this? A teddy-bear? Cute.
James: This must be Lord Broaste's
Childhood Toy... hey, it looks
kinda like you.
Bob: It does not! you take that back!
======================================
Box 245
--------------------------------------
Bob: Hrmmph. Anyway, let's go show it
to that ghost and see what
happens.
======================================
Box 246
--------------------------------------
OPENED
======================================
Box 247
--------------------------------------
Bob: Yipes!
======================================
Box 248
--------------------------------------
Bob: ... I wonder why he didn't come
after us?
James: Let's go find out.
======================================
Box 249
--------------------------------------
Bob: Wow! Haha! If we wear this
costume maybe we won't be
attacked by any of the guards!
James: It's kinda cramped. Ow! Watch
where you put your feet!
======================================
Box 250
--------------------------------------
Guard: Zzzzzzz....
======================================
Box 251
--------------------------------------
Yukio: It's great that this land is
peaceful again. It has been a
long time.
======================================
Box 252
--------------------------------------
Minnie: Have you explored north of
here? there is a city populated
by cats.
======================================
Box 253
--------------------------------------
Granny Broaste: Thank you, you have
finally put my Grandson's soul
at peace.
======================================
Box 254
--------------------------------------
Broaste Ghost: My teddy! You can't
play with it!
======================================
Box 255
--------------------------------------
Guard: Lord Broaste used to have a
potted cactus that he would stare
at for hours at a time. I wonder
what happened to it?
======================================
Box 256
--------------------------------------
James: How odd. It's a picture of a
potted cactus.
Bob: Ick! I hate cactuses!
James: Thats Cactii.
Bob: Okay then, I hate cactiiuses.
======================================
Box 257
--------------------------------------
Bob: Now this is strange. I wonder why
James left this cactus banner?
Another SPAM banner would have
looked nice here.
======================================
Box 258
--------------------------------------
Dusty: Here is the equipment I was
wearing. Thanks for letting me
borrow it
======================================
Box 259
--------------------------------------
Broaste Ghost: You dare return? Have
you forgotten so soon that I am
undefeatable!?
======================================
Box 260
--------------------------------------
Bob: Looky what I have! Is this your
Teddy Bear?
======================================
Box 261
--------------------------------------
Broaste Ghost: GASP! GASP! Mr Fuzzy!
======================================
Box 262
--------------------------------------
James: Look, I think he is weakening!
======================================
Box 263
--------------------------------------
Broaste Ghost: Cursed hamster! Give
me back my Teddy!
======================================
Box 264
--------------------------------------
Bob: Ack!
James: Do something, quick! He is
going to get us!
======================================
Box 265
--------------------------------------
Bob: I thought this Teddy bear was
supposed to put him at peace, but
it is only making him more angry!
I have half a mind to just clobber
him with it!
======================================
Box 266
--------------------------------------
*Bob equips the Teddy Bear*
======================================
Box 267
--------------------------------------
Bob: Yay! We won!
James: Haha! Success!
======================================
Box 268
--------------------------------------
James: I declare myself "Lord James"
sovereign ruler of Castle-James and
all the surrounding territory of
Jamesland!
======================================
Box 269
--------------------------------------
Bob: Heh, look out, your head is going
to burst! Dont forget I helped
too.
======================================
Box 270
--------------------------------------
James: Helped? Why without you I would
have been Broaste-ghost-toast! I
wouldn't have stood a chance...
In fact, I hearby declare you to
be "Sir Bob", first knight of the..
======================================
Box 271
--------------------------------------
James: I was gonna say "Round Table"
but I haven't got a table, round or
otherwise...
======================================
Box 272
--------------------------------------
Bob: Can I be "Sir Bob, first knight
of that really ugly carpet back at
Hasim's"?
======================================
Box 273
--------------------------------------
James: It's unorthidox, but I like it!
======================================
Box 274
--------------------------------------
James: I can't wait to start
remodeling this place. Why don't
you go rest?
======================================
Box 275
--------------------------------------
Bob: Okay, see ya in the morning.
======================================
Box 276
--------------------------------------
James: Hi, Bob. It looks nicer here
now, doesn't it?
======================================
Box 277
--------------------------------------
Bob: Nice. I like the throne-hat.
...sooooo... now what?
======================================
Box 278
--------------------------------------
Guard: There is the imposter!
======================================
Box 279
--------------------------------------
James: Well, I have lots of work to
do now that I have my own castle.
I have taxes to levy, and treaties
to write, and disputes to mediate,
and I'm going to changed the land's
language to Esperanto, and all its
measurements to metric.
======================================
Box 280
--------------------------------------
Bob: So I suppose you won't have time
to keep adventuring with me, huh?
======================================
Box 281
--------------------------------------
James: Not until I need a Dragon
killed or a Grail found.
======================================
Box 282
--------------------------------------
Bob: In that case I am going to go
and do some exploring.
======================================
Box 283
--------------------------------------
James: I need a court Jester... or
at least some trained monkeys.
Bob: Don't look at me! I'm allergic to
being a monkey!
======================================
Box 284
--------------------------------------
James: The electric bill for a castle
this big is terrible. 40% of the
taxes I levy go to keeping this
place well-lit
Bob: And the other 60%?
James: Lotto tockets.
======================================
Box 285
--------------------------------------
Bob: How goes the royal rat-race?
James: What a brilliant idea! I will
build the mightiest rat-racing
coliseum this side of Rome! People
will come from miles to...*rant*
Bob: Sorry I asked
======================================
Box 286
--------------------------------------
James: How goes the adventuring,
Brave Sir Bob?
Bob: Good.
James: Just "good"?
Bob: How about "Mind Bubblingly Fun"?
======================================
Box 287
--------------------------------------
Stand aside! we seek an audience with
Lord Broaste!
======================================
Box 288
--------------------------------------
James: Broaste isn't in charge anymore
I am the new Lord of this castle,
James. And who might you be?
======================================
Box 289
--------------------------------------
*whisper, whisper*
======================================
Box 290
--------------------------------------
Rathmara: I am Rathmara of Ixnekolan,
and this is my brother Skeppio.
We came here to hire soldiers from
Lord Broaste... but since he is
gone, would you be interested in
doing business with us?
======================================
Box 291
--------------------------------------
James: I'm afraid I don't have an army
at the moment, and my only knight is
the good Sir Bob the Hamster.
======================================
Box 292
--------------------------------------
Rathmara: What of it, Sir Bob? will
you help us on our quest?
======================================
Box 293
--------------------------------------
Bob: Hmmm...
======================================
Box 294
--------------------------------------
Rathmara: Rrrmm... well, we can give
you 300 gold pieces.
======================================
Box 295
--------------------------------------
Bob: You will pay me 300 gold?
======================================
Box 296
--------------------------------------
Rathmara: *sigh* The most we can offer
you is 500 gold.
======================================
Box 297
--------------------------------------
Bob: Spiffy. Let's do it!
======================================
Box 298
--------------------------------------
Skeppio: let us buy whatever supplies
we need, and then head for
Gallopeg forest to the west.
======================================
Box 299
--------------------------------------
Kusar: Mrrrm... Welcome to my armory,
Skeppio, Rathmara... Rodent...
======================================
Box 300
--------------------------------------
Glibby: Y-yipe! Cats! um... let me get
the special merchandice.
======================================
Box 301
--------------------------------------
Kusar: Haha! I do not permit foolish
rodents to buy my wares! Come
back when you have looks, class,
claws, and the ability to always
land on your feet!
======================================
Box 302
--------------------------------------
Glibby: Oh, my, oh my. I really must
move my shop. This neighborhood
wants to eat me, and I really can't
work under those conditions.
======================================
Box 303
--------------------------------------
Fluffy-Mu: Skeppio... Rathmara...
And this must be the Hamster.
I have forseen that--
======================================
Box 304
--------------------------------------
Skeppio: *COUGH* We didn't come to
have our fortunes told, we just came
back to get supplies for our mission
to the Gallopeg Forrest.
In, out, hello, goodbye.
======================================
Box 305
--------------------------------------
Bob: I would love to have my fortune
told! Tell me! tell me!
======================================
Box 306
--------------------------------------
Rathmara: I don't think--
======================================
Box 307
--------------------------------------
Fluffy-Mu: I will tell you this much,
Hamster. In your darkest hour when
all seems lost, you will find help
in unexpected places.
======================================
Box 308
--------------------------------------
Bob: Thats pretty vague. It could mean
almost anything!
======================================
Box 309
--------------------------------------
Fluffy-Mu: Very well; You shall find
a viking underneath an uvula. Is
that specific enough for you?
======================================
Box 310
--------------------------------------
Rathmara: We shouldn't bother master
Fluffy anymore today. He needs time
to meditate.
======================================
Box 311
--------------------------------------
Fluffy-Mu: I am pleased to see you
survived. I advised my students
against their plan, but Skeppio
is a voice of unwisdom, and
Rathmara does not yet understand
True Balance.
======================================
Box 312
--------------------------------------
Bob: You mean you knew all along that
they planned to use me as bait, and
you went along with it!? Why didn't
You warn me!? ... and I don't
think "unwisdom" is a word...
======================================
Box 313
--------------------------------------
Fluffy-Mu: The future is a mysterious
place. There are times when it is
better to let an ill wind blow
itself out that to try to catch it
in your paws.
======================================
Box 314
--------------------------------------
Fluffy-Mu: Besides, who is to say that
you might not have faced an even
worse fate if you had not ever
entered into the Gallopeg Forest?
======================================
Box 315
--------------------------------------
Bob: Oh! Yes! Of course! I might have
been sitting on the roof of James's
castle drinking a celery daqueri
while French maids fanned me with
palm fronds, and I could have choked
on the little umbrella! Thank you
for saving me from that fate worse
than death!
======================================
Box 316
--------------------------------------
Fluffy-Mu: I sense a powerful element
of sarcasm in your soul. You need
to meditate.
======================================
Box 317
--------------------------------------
Bob: Who are you?
======================================
Box 318
--------------------------------------
Nevelle: Why me? Ahrm, I am the town
plot-boulder mover. Union Local #173
======================================
Box 319
--------------------------------------
Bob: There is a labor union for people
who move rocks around?
======================================
Box 320
--------------------------------------
Nevelle: Hrrm! Of course! They
certainly aren't going to move
themselves!
======================================
Box 321
--------------------------------------
Bob: Oh...
======================================
Box 322
--------------------------------------
Bob: But why were the boulders in the
road in the first place? And how did
you know they needed to be moved
right when I needed to go to the
castle?
======================================
Box 323
--------------------------------------
Nevelle: Hrhrm! Sillyness! We couldn't
have you going to the castle before
you knew why you needed to go there,
now could we? Ahrm, that wouldn't
make a lick of sense, now would it?
======================================
Box 324
--------------------------------------
Bob: Oh...
... I don't have to tip you do I?
======================================
Box 325
--------------------------------------
Nevelle: Not neccisary, hrmm, *cough*
altruism and such. Hrm. Union Rules.
======================================
Box 326
--------------------------------------
Bob: There is a log in my way!
======================================
Box 327
--------------------------------------
James: Don't try to climb over it!
You might strain a muscle!
Bob: Are you making fun of me?
======================================
Box 328
--------------------------------------
Rathmara: Stand Back, I shall remove
this barrier!
======================================
Box 329
--------------------------------------
Bob: Um... what are you waiting for?
======================================
Box 330
--------------------------------------
Bob: Ouch! Hey! What are you doing!?
======================================
Box 331
--------------------------------------
Rathmara: Sorry we have to do this to
you, Bob.
======================================
Box 332
--------------------------------------
Skeppio: Try not to take this all
personally. This is just business.
======================================
Box 333
--------------------------------------
Bob: What are you going to do to me?
======================================
Box 334
--------------------------------------
Rathmara: Let's just say...
======================================
Box 335
--------------------------------------
Skeppio: You are bait.
======================================
Box 336
--------------------------------------
Bob: Bait!? You monsters!
Bait for WHAT!?
======================================
Box 337
--------------------------------------
Rathmara: Better for you not to know.
======================================
Box 338
--------------------------------------
Skeppio: Heh, heh, heh...
======================================
Box 339
--------------------------------------
Bob: AAAAAAAAAAAAA!
======================================
Box 340
--------------------------------------
Skeppio: It's no good! Jormungandling
is just too strong! Not even the
distraction of a tasty hamster
was enough to give us the edge!
======================================
Box 341
--------------------------------------
Rathmara: What a waste. Bob would have
been of more use to us if we had
left him untied.
======================================
Box 342
--------------------------------------
Rathmara: Run!
======================================
Box 343
--------------------------------------
Tuttle: Psst! Hey, you! How would you
like to purchase some perfectly
legal merchandice? I have some good
items for sale, that are in no way
disreputable.
======================================
Box 344
--------------------------------------
Found the Mist Book
======================================
Box 345
--------------------------------------
Found a Bane Claw
======================================
Box 346
--------------------------------------
Rathmara: Wait one moment...
======================================
Box 347
--------------------------------------
Found a sturdy Rope
======================================
Box 348
--------------------------------------
Bob: Wow! How did you know that
hidden passage was there?
======================================
Box 349
--------------------------------------
Rathmara: Just a guess...
======================================
Box 350
--------------------------------------
Alex: Saluton! Bonvenon al ELF,
"Esperanto Ligo de Flanato"
Kiel vi fartas hodia«?
======================================
Box 351
--------------------------------------
Bob: Huh? What did you just say?
Was that an insult!?
======================================
Box 352
--------------------------------------
Alex: Mi pardonpetas! Vi ne estas
parolanto de la lingvo!
What I said was;
Salutations! Welcome to ELF,
"Esperanto League of Flanat"
How are you feeling today?
======================================
Box 353
--------------------------------------
Bob: Where do you get off going around
talking gobbledy-gook like that at

Is this feature complete? I just checked the latest nightlies and found no newer version to download since the portrait features.
For goodness sakes James, you're pumping out these awesome features like some sort of... some sort of omnipotent being! _________________ http://www.castleparadox.com/gamelist-display.php?game=750 Bloodlust Demo 1.00

First: what did you do to the forum it is broken
Second: what about the metadata for the textboxes? It'd be extra nice if there were a way to make that
Third: what if I have a line of equals signs in a textbox?
Fourth: awesome _________________

James, you broke the forums... but this is an awesome feature. Have you been pulling all-nighters? _________________ A broken clock is still right twice a day. |

James, YOU MADE THE FORUMS LOOK COOLER! OMG!
Wow, so we have a text editor in the works now, eh?
I look forward to the next official OHR release. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

It will be in tonight's nightly builds.

You want to know the secret to my power? I have a ton of ther important non-OHR-related stuff that I *SHOULD* by all rights be working on instead. What kind of features would I be implementing if I had lots of free leisure time and no responsibilities? None. I would probably be playing Odin Sphere.

I thought about that... but I would not want to do it unless it was optional, since I think it would hugely clutter the file.

Alright, you troublemaker. Do you actually have a text box with a row of 38 equals signs? Or are you just talking hypotheticals? ;)

Yes, but that is an unrelated coincidence!

I am actually thinking I might start Xocolatl release candidates soon. I was originally planning on doing a few more things, and giving TeeEmCee a chance to rip the script interpreter apart and put it back together again, but given the recent feature-flurry, maybe it is better to try to release sooner rather than later. |

How would special characters import/export?
Also, I just wanted to add that I've noticed that drawing with the keyboard has gotten a lot smoother now. Thanks to whoever it is that got that fixed! _________________ http://www.castleparadox.com/gamelist-display.php?game=750 Bloodlust Demo 1.00

Now you're really starting to make my life easier. I could only imagine what life will be like when the IMPORT feature is up and running.
EDIT: Hmm, it seems that the IMPORT feature is up and running. Even better!

Xocolatl is off to a great start, but please let it be awesome by letting it come with script multitasking. I don't think I'd have the heart to wait until Yggdrasil (or whatever Y's gonna be called) for that. _________________ Progress Report:

1. Odin Sphere
2. Quote: | Second: what about the metadata for the textboxes? It'd be extra nice if there were a way to make that |
If metadata gets exported it should be in a separate file in a spreadsheet-compatible format. Let's say a comma separated text file. Then you could open it with a spreadsheet program and for example set column xyz which represents "text box colour" to an equal colour for all text boxes. _________________ Snippy:

They do get exported and imported. Naturally they will not display correctly, but as long as you are using a decent text editor, it will leave them intact when you save changes.

You can thank TeeEmCee for that one. He massively increased the frame rate of he sprite editor.

Releasing Xocolatl now and saving script multitasking until Yggdrasil doesn't necessarily mean that script multitasking will take any longer-- A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

Hmmmm... a spreadsheet... I like that. That is a good idea. |

I made a Microsoft Word template that conforms to the import standard. You'll have to copy/paste the between-box symbols whenever you're ready to make a new text box, but at least you can type continuously with word wrap now.
Remember, boxes need to be eight lines long or less.

Hope this helps. _________________ Progress Report:
