here follows the main storyline and plot of the stone keeper.
an original concept for a game I simply haven't got time to
make. It contains extracts and quotes to make the story
more interesting:
*ninon is an ancient book, used to record important events.
"we were all divided until he came. He and his brother changed our
simplistic land into a more complex social web. We were simple
People, just living out our lives. We farmed all day until he
changed things. Momentarily we enjoyed peace and prosperity.
But it was never ment to last." Ninon, the source scroll*.
"a vast hue of light came from the sky, it was not the sun. It was
not the stars, nor the moon. It crashed down on us and forever
since that day we were changed" Ninon, the source scroll.
Karak and Garak, two brothers who were learned in the magic arts
from a forgotten time long long ago decided to freeze themselves
during the formation of the planet in order to presserve their
knowledge. The Gods who had formed the planet had been long
forgotten, Karak and Garak were all that remained of that
hostile time. They came back, much to late to find the world
changed. Though they themselves were human in appearance, in
reality they were much different.
At first Karak and Garak were great friends, not just brothers.
They helped the local people with their amazing abilities.
But when Karak was declared leader, Garak became angry. He
thought they should rule together in this new land. In his
frustation he left Karak, and made his own kingdom. Taking
many followers with him.
Both brothers formed large kingdoms with extensive palaces.
Grew larger and larger armies. Eventually it was not long
before war broke out on the two kingdoms. After decades of
bloodshed Karack split the land in two. Putting a whole
sea in front of both kingdoms.
"never before have we seen such blood being split over a
cause so little." Elder Frix, at the time of Karak.
Though Karak and Garak were extremely powerful, there was
one thing they knew they could not stop, death.
Eventually both brothers grew very old. Though they had
many many children, none could carry on their magical
arts. Just before his death, Karak decided that his
power shouldn't be lost. On his death bed he cast his
spirit into the sacred stones. Such stones could
summon his power at any time. Having heard of this,
Karak did the same. The wars continued, each side
blaming the other for each other's leaders death.
Then the storm filled years followed. entire
crops were destroyed, the wars were forgotten.
The stones were lost and declared mith. _________________ ~PH

(Sorry to split my post in two, but it's to do with my browser and not my
ignorance.)
this is where the main character comes in...
You are Tilam. son of Garmith. Your parents
were murdered by Garakers. It is several
hundred years after the storm filled years.
Life is prosperous yet, the divide between
peoples has grown. Both kingdoms have been
divided into provinces. Law and order has
gone out the window. A band known as the
'stone keepers' use the mighty stones of
Karak to maintain order. But they are
dying out, more and more stones are
being forgotten. those that remain
have been turned to evil purposes.
You decide to become a stone keeper
and retreive the lost stones. But
your journey will be though. You
must train to enhance your skills.
"all stones are equal, their is no
good or bad ones. The stones simply
emulate your performance. they are
simply a tool. nothing more, nothing
less." Stone Keeper Jivdan
You must learn, explore, trade and
fight your way to the top. You
must bring peace to this troubled
land. Once and for all. You must
be... a stone keeper.
Well thats about it. I don't intend to
make a game from it yet. If you are
interested in taking on this project
let me know. This story is the
"compressed" version. If you have any
queries I can go into depth if want.
this message is also on cube's forum, it seemed a little lifeless...

Seems to be pretty good. Maybe you should explain why the character wants to be a stone keeper though. _________________ Ssalamanderr's Journal!: http://www.livejournal.com/users/ssalamanderr/

well his parents were killed in the conflict, so he vows to become a stonekeeper and bring an end to the whole thing. And of course the emense power of the stones is tempting for many... _________________ ~PH
