I've read through most of Moogle1's Platforming 101 tutorial and have a general idea of how to make stuff move and run in a platformer, but I was wondering what games have mimiced a Street Fighter-like combat system the best (I assume someone has tried it already).
Any suggestions? I would like to download them and check them out |

I don't think anyone has made a Street Fighter type game using the OHRRPGCE.
Spoonweaver's Light Fight us a tech demo of beat-em-up gameplay like Final Fight
My game Bell of Chaos is not at all like Street Fighter, but it does use street-fighter-style move combinations for spellcasting. |

Thanks for the examples, they are exactly what I was looking for
I liked the update for Bell of Chaos, its controls are much smoother than the first release.
After looking at those, I'm sure an idea I'm working on is possible, but learning how to use slices and make health bars (and then damage them) is definitely in my future. |

When making a fighting game, you can use slice containers with width & height values to create hitboxes for the character attacks/characters themselves. _________________

Right, I'm sort of familiar with a lot of the things you can do with slices, I just haven't learned how to do them yet (I blame college. Cruel, cruel college).
What I was really interested to know was if it was possible, or if anyone had tried, to make a smooth, real-time combat system.
Bell of Chaos and Light Fight both demonstrate what I was looking for exceptionally well: especially the blue enemies that take a few steps and swing their swords in BoC.
I guess my ultimate (if overly-grandiose) goal is to have a plot-related mini-game where the player will have sword duels with an NPC in which both the player and their opponent can block/attack/parry/etc. _________________ Syzygy - .01% (Extremely Random Number)

Considering this was made, I think a fighting game is completely possible. _________________

Definitely. Kudos to Bagne (or TwirlySocrates?) and everyone who helped him for that masterpiece _________________ Syzygy - .01% (Extremely Random Number)
