Wow, I'm slowly taking over the message board... IM A VIRUS, RUUUN!!! lol
Okay, so I'm wanting to have a treasure chest that works like Fenrir-Lunaris' in Final Fantasy H, where they won't open until a certain task is accomplished. I have the "locked" chest as one NPC, and the "unlocked" chest as another. however, when I place one over the other, the previously placed NPC is removed. So how do I get the desired effect from the NPCs? _________________ Current project progress:

You can place more than one NPC on the same tile by holding the CTRL key and then pressing an arrow key. (this is in the F1 help for the NPC placement screen)
However, I think that is not the best way to do it.
I suggest using just one treasure chest NPC. Do the locking using text boxes.
You can have the first text box say "LOCKED" and in the conditionals, you can have it jump to another box INSTEAD if a tag is set indicating that the box has been unlocked. |
