Hey, does anyone else have issues with the keyboard while in Draw mode on any sprite editor?
I usually draw a basic outline using my mouse, and then modify smaller details with my fingers on the keyboard. However, I've noticed with the past couple versions that something wrong happens when I try to do this.
Especially when I press the right or left arrowkeys, the cursor will sometimes just stick. When I try to move it around, it flickers in the direction I want to move it, but ultimately switches right back.

Anyone else have this issue? It's getting annoying when I want to outline stuff with a glow or whatever and follow each pixel.

By recent versions are you talking about Zenzizenzic or the recent nightly wip versions?

Zenzizenzic, and it might possibly have happened on the one or two versions before that. I just remember several years ago being able to use it without any problems, so it must be a fairly recent (as in within the last 4 years) issue.

Could you test with a current nightly wip build? TMC made some improvements to the key repeat handling that might have already solved the problem you are describing.

What exactly is a nightly wip build?

A wip build is a Work-In-Progress build. it is the version that will become the next stable release.

(Make a backup copy of your .rpg file first before you use it with the nightly wip version, since the nightly wip version upgrades the rpg file to the latest format version and there is no way to downgrade a .rpg file to an older format version.)

I don't think this has anything to do with key-repeat. This sounds just like '' . bug_title('954') . '', though your symptoms are a bit different: I never noticed any problems in the sprite editors.

Could you please report whether the following workaround works: move the mouse cursor off the sprite drawing area, so that the arrow keys don't cause it to be moved.

I tried the mouse thing, but the thing is, this bug doesn't always happen. This time that I tried it it was totally fine. With or without the mouse on the drawing area, it moved fine. It just seems to happen spiratically. Once in a while I'll find it being annoying.
So I don't know what's going on.

Interesting.

It might also be affected by the window position and zoom level. I'll try that out next time I'm on Windows.

This bug still occurs in the new release.
...Among lots of new bugs. Has anyone noticed when you create a new Battle Formation it automatically fills all the slots with Enemy #0?

The formation editor bug is news to me, but I bet I can fix it pretty easily. Thank you for reporting it.

Let me know of any other bugs you find

I've also noticed that since the update tags trigger WHEN the text box pops up, rather than AFTER. So for example, if you go up to an enemy NPC, it monologues or whatever, and disappears, and THEN you go into battle with it. Another example is if you go up to a treasure chest, it opens just as it says "Found a X", although this isn't as annoying.

I'll report any others I find.

Oh, I see what you mean about the tags... That one might be tricky to fix without breaking other things, but I will definitely look into it. Thank you for reporting it!

Wow, I'm surprised that those two bugs were introduced. Did I add the textbox tag bug?

Opps, I'd forgotten about the sprite editor keyboard problem already.

I've also noticed issues with spawning, though I'm not sure how long they've been there. Aren't spawned units supposed to appear in other placeholders? They keep appearing at location 0,0, at the far top left of the screen.
..It kind of breaks the realism of the moment in battle. Confused
