In case you didn't know, there's a "Neo Geo Lovers" usergroup now. Membership is miniscule as of now, so I'm inviting people in. If I can get a few more people, the "Neo-Geo Club" board will become available to all members, and I'll do a weekly article! Nothing too fancy, probably a review or a movelist, things such as that, every Saturday. |

Have you seen those arcade cabinets that have 4 or 6 games and you can push a button to cycle between the games? Every single game uses the same ABCD buttons? Those are Neo-Geo Multi Video Systems (MVS). I have seen a few Neo-Geo machines with only one game (like Metal Slug 4). If I recall correctly, most of the games are made by SNK, but then something horrible happened to them (I forget, sorry). Neo-Geo games are now being made by other companies.
Here are some the more popular Neo-Geo games:
Metal Slug
Samurai Shodown
Last Blade
King of Fighters (combines Art of Fighting and Fatal Fury)
Aero Fighters
Puzzle Bobble (Bust-a-Move?)
Shock Troopers
Waku Waku 7
Metal Slug |
