This week sees a dramatic jump in submissions for OHR Weekly. I’d like to thank everyone who submitted an article. You’re contributions really drive OHR Weekly to new heights. Let’s all welcome Fenrir onto OHR Weekly’s staff as resident cartoonist! While we have yet to have any permanent staff on for writing articles or opinion columns, it doesn’t seem to be important with so many great submissions this week..
At a Glance -
I randomly selected three new games from the Gamelist that were submitted in the last week. And guess what? All three of them were terrible. See if your game made it.
Articles -
This week, Setu explains the ins and outs of Notate and then follows up with how different instruments come together to create a song. Right on his heels is Shadowiii with a stellar article about how to place your music, with tons of examples for all of you learning musicians, or at least those of you learning how to place ripped music. For the artist readers, Flamer throws his hat into the ring with an article about animating your walkabouts for better effect. Squall writes in about getting your bland dialogue into something snappy to catch the player’s attention. And finally, for all of you wanna be plotscripters, Cube takes it in his hands to explain AutoNumbers, The Return Command, and even knows how to help you find out why your buffer keeps overflowing.
Opinions -
JSH explains the difference between a good review and bad one, and let me tell you, the community would be a lot better off if we all listened to his advice.
