Review # 2 for Spoon Weaver Space, the awesome frontier.
Them's Fightin' Words
In this game you play the part of a star ship captain who got randomly lost in space on a test flight mission. Your mission is to get home. But wait... the tutorial tells you exactly where home is. And once you get there you simply return to your house and live happily. So whats the deal with all these other stars? A secret ending, that's what.
And even though I don't plan to reveal what it is or how to get it, a good plan might be to visit each star.
Graphics
These could have been better, but they don't really take away from the game very much. The ships are the only thing I think need some work.
Storyline
The story line is there sure, but it's not that great. However this is the sort of game that doesn't really need a storyline to be great.
Gameplay
This is where the game really shines. The gameplay really gives one the feeling of exploring space.
  Battle
These were very hard for the most part. Without getting some helpers and some good equipment even the easier fights seem impossible. Also, the equipment is something that needs a little more explaining. I found myself very confused when my main attack was healing instead of attacking at one point. There seems to be no clue as to what your weapon is going to do.
  Map Design
Different every time truly a great game for people who love to explore.
  Balance
Too hard as far as battles go, and too easy to beat the easy way.
Overall a very unbalanced game.

Music
2 songs, one for exploring and one for battles. They're pretty good, and made by the creator (camdog) as far as I know. They're also included as .mid's in the downloadable .zip file.
Enjoyment
I found this game a lot of fun. I've played it enough to have seen everything twice as far as I know. Maybe I haven't seen everything. Who knows.(well camdog I'd assume)
Final Blows
A great game for great people by an ok guy.
I got killed here. These battles are tough.

I got killed here. These battles are tough.

Overall Grade: A+
Final Thoughts
There wasn't really enough varity in the things you can find on the different stars. Almost every star is an item. Then there's potential allies, potential enemies, shops, and of course home. Thats about it. Perhaps more things in the sequal?
