Unfortunately there weren't too many previews this month... actually the name 'previews' is a little misleading, because there is only one 'previews'... (I wish this were in Japanese (there are no plurals in that language)).

...that is what I would have said had I not gotten a second game, Saga of the Mystics, to preview!

If you want a preview of your game, email me the game and some info (special features it will have, who the authors are, what is the game's history, anything about how the game is expected to be when it is finished)

Again, send me games to preview please... only 1/4 of those who said they'd send me their game actually did! If this keeps up I may have to start previewing my own upcoming games (nhnt:1/5, The Legend of Zelda: Millenial edition, And, Peter S. Beagle's The Last Unicorn, etc.) just to keep this section alive.

Radar Rat Race RPG

Radar Rat Race RPG, also known as rrrrpg, or even rrrrpg.rpg, is based on... a Commodore 64 game. Not much is known at this point, but it seems that you will be able to go in several, if not all, of the mazes from the original game, but also it seems that the game will not be only about running mazes.

Rrrrpg is being made by the MeAjur Komera Waddi, the author of this month's featured game Wingedmene, and does not have an anticipated release date as of yet. More news as it develops.

Saga of the Mystics

Saga of the Mystics seems very impressive. The game is being made by Mattgamerr, Royal, Radar, and SMSpiff. Think Lolsidothaldremobine with maptiles by Royal, original music, and 3D-FMV, and you'll have an idea of what to expect in Saga of the Mystics. Speaking of the the FMV, I can easily say that it is the best I've seen in any Ohrrpgce game to date (see below screenshots), although it does increase the size of the file a bit, (if only we had .flc format support...). The walkabouts are also well animated; they actually become surprised, nod their heads, move their arms, etc.

I can't really say anything about the actual game or story yet, (I don't know much more than you) but judging from Mattgamerr's and Royal's previous games, it probably won't be disappointing. No anticipated release date yet.
