The month's news: The OHRRPGCE was updated! There are
several new plotscripting commands, and a lot of new improvements to the
battle system. With this, the Ohrrpgce's battles now have even more potential
for complexity than they already had.
There were not enough letters to open up a letters/editorial section.
Send more. If you feel you have something to say about anything related
to the Ohrrpgce, or just have a comment or suggestion about the magazine,
write an email (with the subject as
'Ohrrpgce Monthly' so I'll know what it is for).
Acknowledgments and thanks go to HuckdOnFonix, who drew the cover and
is hosting this magazine on RPG-Online, to StellarX, who agreed to this
month's interview, and to all the people who voted for the top30.

Cover - Each month will
have a new cover. What is the purpose of a strictly online magazine having
a cover? Nostalgia maybe... and it just doesn't feel like a real magazine
without a cover. Each month the cover is related to that month's featured
game (in this case Monterey Penguin) This month's cover was done by HuckdOnFonix.
Contents - This page. Each month
it contains information about the contents of that month's issue, and news
and so forth.
Previews - Contains short previews
of upcoming games. This month: Zodiac Saga, Way of the Wizard, Duck and
MJ 2, EDO, and Peter S. Beagle's The Last Unicorn.
Feature - Coverage of one game
in detail. Each month will have a different game covered, unless of course
I need to do multi-part reviews (for long games). This month's feature
is Monterey Penguin.
Releases - Coverage of the last
month's Ohrrpgce game releases, basically just lists the game, with a little
description, and where you can get it (if known), etc. Most of this month's
releases were released for the 48 hour game contest, and so this month's
release section is mostly about those games. I don't rate games (I leave
that to RPGonline), but I do give the pros and cons of each.
Top 30 - Voting is held on the main
Ohrrpgce message board each month. Participants choose their favorite 10
games, in order, and although less may be chosen, the number of games listed
must be at least five. The first game given by each person is given 10
points, the second game 9 points, and so on. Then we look at which games
are popular and which are not.
Release Date Calendar - This
is where you can see anticipated release dates for different games, listed
by season. More will be added as they are announced.
Interview - Each month, I'll
interview a different Ohrrpgce game author. This month I interviewed StellarX,
a member of Red Murdock Software, and the originator of Destiny Calls.
