| r/r/r/r: how did
you find the ohrrpgce? how long ago? |
| Stellar X: I found it in
October of 1998, when I first got my computer and was looking for RPGs
that you could play on PCs. |
| r/r/r/r: what
games have you worked on for the ohrrpgce that are either released
already or will be, or can be found somewhere online? |
| Stellar X: I worked on Destiny
Calls for bout a year and a half until Greg and Royal and the others decided
that it needed redesign. I myself have been working on Destiny Calls
2 (which is actually the prequel to the first) ,and I've also been working
on 'The Realm' a sci-face space adventure. Don't expect either for
a while though. |
| r/r/r/r: do you feel
that ohrrpgce games can have a wide audience outside of the community (those
who actually make ohrrpgce games) among people who play rpgs? by word of
mouth, do you think it would be possible for an ohrrpgce game to have really
big (50,000+) audience of players? |
| Stellar X: Yes, I really
do. Several of my real life friends have played a few of RMS's games
and other OHRRPGCE games like Origin and EOTE, and are really impressed.
These guys don't even play RPGs that much, but they seem to really enjoy
OHRRPGCE games. |
| r/r/r/r: besides yourself,
who do you consider to be the greatest game designers in the ohrrpgce community? |
| Stellar X: Royal is by far
one of the best game designers I've met. Valkaree and Vidual are
up there as well. |
| r/r/r/r: why do you
think most ohrrpgce games are never finished? |
| Stellar X: Because people
don't plan before they start making the game, mainly. Also if you
work on a really large scale game, free time will become more and more
scarce, heh. |
| r/r/r/r: what do you
think the future of the ohrrpgce will hold? will better games keep being
made, or have the best games already been seen? |
| Stellar X: The OHRRPGCE
is only limited if you have a limited imagination. If creative people
continue to use the engine, we we always see great games. |
| r/r/r/r: when is the
new destiny calls demo going to be released? |
| Stellar X: Heh i saw that
coming, It is 75% done right now with at least an hour+ of good playing
time, but we can not set a release date in stone, as we have no idea what
problems may come up. |
| r/r/r/r: will jazz man's
removing his music from the game delay the release? |
| Stellar X: Not at all, Dr.
Greg has already replaced all the songs (about 3) that Jazz contributed.
Plus with this momentum, Greg has already done many more songs, so the
soundtrack is pretty much complete. I'm actually glad this happened
otherwise I would have never know Greg was such a good (and fast) composer! |
