This is the game that will sell me a DS.

I'd prefer they just leave the game in 2D, personally. Touch up the graphics a little, maybe fine-tune the game some more. It's a little late to be whining about it, though.

Hopefully they won't butcher it TOO much. :(

Wait, what part of Minnish Cap isn't just made of 2D sprites? I never finished the last dungeon but I can't recall ever seeing a single 3D part.

Okay, maybe I was wrong on that one. I seemed to remember it looking like it was 3D the one time I played it.
But there have been 3D games on GBA. I know my brother had one a couple years back, but I don't remember what it was called.

Well I'm happy that they're doing this. Hopefully it will show developers that you can have an impressive looking RPG on the DS as well. Also, Squaresoft has done 3D RPGs before and they're not too shabby. I haven't had a chance to play the original FF3, but I have a feeling that it's not exactly a god among mortal RPGs. I say let 'em experiment.

Actually, I'd say FF3 is among the best in the series. Especially when you compare it to other Famicom games of the time, it's pretty jaw-dropping.

But then, I'm also a job system whore.

As am I. FF3, FF5, and FFT are favorites almost solely because of this.

I wouldn't mind if they made the job system for the remake more like FF5 or FFT.

*shrug* Never played it or FFX. There's a chance I'd like it; it's Rinku's favorite FF.

I won't touch FFXI, though, job system or not.
