You have a more solid plan than I do. It's good to be prepared like that.
I wanna see a furry fandom documentary. The educational video thing might be good to break into. We always need updated educational videos.
You also might need a logo to brand yourself. Hey, if you need someone to design your logo, I'm yer man, man. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

I promise not to like your movies, Eggie. That way you will like them more! _________________ The turkey: God's most noble creature.

Just making one about something you like will not get you jobs, and that seems to be one of your goals. If anything, a documentary about the poor, persecuted furries will probably prevent you from finding future work. |
I'm not saying I'll jump out of the bucket ready to make anything I want. I am actually expecting getting offered a job that I won't like that I'll end up taking. |

Ok, here's some bad news; everybody wants to be a film director. Even at my local college in the mass communication program, over half of the 30 people enrolled want to be a film director. Quite frankly, job opportunities aren't going to jump out at you, especially considering it seems like you just started to want to be one NOW, and your first theatrical experience was The Dukes of Hazzard.
The bottom line is this; if you want to be a film director, DON'T TALK; DO. I'm not ready to write you off in your potential to break into the industry, but if you don't start obsessing about this "ambition" and immediately work to improve your skill, then I'll write you off like all my other friends who think they can be film directors because the liked Old School. And believe me, I'm giving you much more chances than the world.
So make a script, film a short if you have a camera to do so. The fact is that there are probably 500 kids in your town alone who want to break into the industry, and you're starting late. Get a move on. _________________ You got film in my video game!

I'm still curious about your knowledge of film noir aside from being a pretty term that is applied to some movies. |
