| No, I'm serious. Start over. The amount of time you put into the game means nothing if you didn't have a plan in the first place. Start over and plan the entire game before you start making it. Then you won't need any ideas. |

Rather than completely start from scratch; just take everything you have, and compile it into a journal from start to finish. This way, you'll get a full view of what you have. If you already have a journal, then just re-read that one. I've found that reading your work over again tends to help you think up new ideas.
Another way would be to take a walk through a town, woods, park, or even a museum. Often time's you might find little details that will inspire you, and spark multiple ideas that can spring into giant storylines.

Or you could always read books. View artworks. Watch movies. Take note of things that work, and things that don't. Use them for inspiration for your own ideas. Then eventually you'll get an idea and you'll be ready to start again.
