i recently discovered bittorrents, but i keep coming across all these different problems. like, i downloaded adobe photoshop cs2 and it came with a keygen. so i used the key it created and that worked fine, but then photoshop also wanted me to enter another key to prove it wasn't a downloaded file. obviously i couldn't get any further because, well, it IS downloaded. anyone have any suggestions? or am i just doomed to watch photoshop wither away after the 30 day trial is up?
also, i downloaded parallel desktop with the faint hope that i could play a little ragnarok online (only runs on windows) during my free time. i downloaded a keygen for this as well, but it doesn't work for the activation code part. so i tried just not trying to mess with the activation code part yet, and went ahead and used the keygen for the windows xp installation disc serial code number. but, again, problems arose. it asked me to insert my windows xp installation disc. obviously if i had a windows xp installation disc i would also have a computer that runs windows, and i wouldn't NEED their silly program.
if anyone has any suggestions just let me know. i was all excited about using bittorrents but now i'm just dissappointed. _________________ insert myspace link here. |

on the adobe cs: is it asking for the registration key?
if so; you have to 'do it by phone'. the keygen comes with two different key-types. when you try registering by phone, they'll be a number you're suppose to give which adobe will give to you; you enter that number in the second part of the keygen and it'll come up with a key you enter into the registration.
hope that helps. _________________

Parallel Desktop and all other programs like it require a copy of Windows - they don't create a windows environment, rather they let windows run at the same time as whatever other operating system by virtualising/emulating a PC.
The exception is Wine, which doesn't require an windows installation (it's an alternative inplementation of the windows APIs). You seem to have an Intel Mac, so it might work for you. Look into it, it's LGPL, but alot of programs don't run correctly. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |
