Should the Top 30 be revamped?

I've been thinking lately, maybe I'm calculating this puppy all wrong. It seems to me that a game should get a bigger boost on the Top 30 just by being voted for than its placing in the individual lists. After all, if you say "These are my favorite 10 games" you're saying all ten of them are good and deserving of some credit. So, when a game gets voted #10 on your list it gets one measly point, and how much is that really worth?

So, I've come up with some ideas, and I'm running this poll to see what you guys think.

Idea 1: Keep the same method. # of votes + score = total

Idea 2: Make the top 5 count for increasing amounts while the bottom 5 only count for 1.

ex)1. SOJ
2. TQ
3. House 2
4. CD
5. BO
6. Billy the Gnome
7. Horgoth
means SOJ gets 6... BO gets 2, Billy and Horgoth get 1

Idea 3: Give the voters 10 points that they can disperse as they like among whatever games they want. Problem I see here is vote-stuffing and confusion in general.

ex)
SOJ- 10 points
means SOJ gets all of your votes

or
TQ- 5
House 2- 5
each of these games get 5 points

Any insight?

I'm fine with how it is now, but regarding idea 3: if you go that way, how about offering more points than 10? That doesn't seem like enough. We wouldn't be able to vote for as many games that way (unless we gave only 1 point to each of them), and that would mean even fewer games on the final list.

Also, many of the links on the Top 30 still point to www.castleparadox.com/forum/. Might be good to update those.

hmm...
Here's a crazy idea. why not 30 points, and you can only give one individual game 10 at the maximum? Fits in with the theme, heh.

Why not idea 2, with the variation that 1st gets 10 points, second 9, etc, and 6 and below get 5 each? Otherwise, you still have the same problem of the low places on the list being nearly worthless. You could drop the plus number of votes point bonus (or multiply it by 5 to get the same effect)

Idea 3's not so bad (as long as you give at least 30 points to people), except what would happen to the vote limit? If someone only gives 3 game 10 points each, they could skew the ranking a bit, and have far more influence on it than someone who believes 15 excellent OHR games exist (unless you limit it to 10 games still). Yeah, alot of potential abuse.
