An interesting situation this is... I'd refuse the monster and go out and improve myself the old fashioned way to find my own Ultimate power.
I was thinking:
There are other ways to get things done, yet we are left with a choice between the fast way or the right way. A lot of times over not, the fast way results in failure or less than desireable side effects.
Yeah. A bunch of nonsense...

So basically I would lose control of my own mind, and become an ultimate evil person?
What's the point in that?
If I can't really live my own life with this Ultimate Power, and I end up dooming the entire world and/or universe because of my choice, then there's really no point in doing it in the first place.

Well, if you had ultimate power, you'd be able to resist the allure of evil with said power, so it's kinda a paradoxical question.
