There may not be much to talk about right now, but I'm starting this journal now so that I don't forget to add it later.
I'd like some feedback to be listed here. Please tell me your likes and dislikes of the game so far.
I recommend waiting for the next update (After 7/7/06) until you start posting. Thanks a lot.
[edit:To those of us who are as paranoid as our very special guest]
Images that you will see in the first two minutes of the game.
As of update 7/7/06, these screenshots are the entire game. Wait until the next update before you start flaming, please.

Check the download page, you clever Guest you.
But I agree: it could use more of both. _________________

Title screens are not useful as screenshots. They're not an example of in-game graphics so having one up on your game entry doesn't really tell potential downloaders anything important.
I played the demo and it really seemed like there was nothing to do at all. The thing with jumping and climbing the ladders was neat but there doesn't seem to be any real game yet. Graphics were not great but were pretty good. _________________ Locked

Screenshots and game info could've saved you from wasting your time on the game. |

Wait...What?
Sorry about the lack of screenshots or info, but as I said, you may want to wait a week or so. I just started the thread early because I figured that I would probably forget to make one later.
If you really want screenshots, I'll post them in one or two days. |

Oh, and if that's isometric I see, the horizontal to vertical is off; should be 2:1, or similar. |

Yeah, and it can be harmful to the eyes. _________________ "There will always be people who will tell you they hate what you made, or like what you made, and will tell you that what you did was wrong or right."

2/4/08
I am nearly positive that I'll be more motivated to update the game if I show the public some of my progress. It's also neat to see what the game was like when I first started :p
Right now, I am about done with the game content-wise; however, I would like to upgrade all of the game's graphics and gameplay issue.
* Firstly, I'm going back to give my walkabouts a new style. Here's what I've got so far:
* Also, I'm implementing my own level-up system.
It employs the old levelup bug and this little piece of scripting:
Basically, the bonus from the equipment that the player wears will add permanently add onto the hero's stats at each level up.
However, this means that to balance things out, items have pretty low effects.
On level up, the player will then be able to distribute a total of five stat points into whichever category they choose. The stats have different effects on different heroes.
If a hero excels in Dexterity, then he will gain larger bonuses on Power, Accuracy, and Evasion; however, he will receive low bonuses from Strength.
Likewise, a hero that excels in Strength will be nearly the exact inverse.
The hero also gets a few default level up stats to correspond with their specific builds. However, the use of weapons and player guidance can easily cover this up.[/color]
* I'm working on Kehl's Dungeon right now!
I'm going to give the dungeon a major changing.
It's going to be a bit more like the Golden Tower from the previous release.
You know, less spacebar holding a puzzles or two and betterly balanced battles.
I've set up a custom-made palette and I feel that it works pretty nicely.
More updates soon, guys! |

The menu colors are striking and lend the game a nice touch. The updated walkabout colors are a bit too bright for the rest of the game. _________________

The game is steadily looking better and better. I envy your ability to be productive and improve. _________________
