Slime salad's official position on Artimus Bena, and having 'nihilist views', is Hatred, and being/having either (respectively) is ban worthy.
Yeah well, slime salad's basically CP2.0 with language filters and 'slimebucks' added so what does it matter?

I'm not upset about being banned; the reason I'm not upset is because I was being threatened a ban for having a certain view, on topic, and expressing it. Just seems a little weird and controlling to me. Also, as I mentioned, when I DO post, I hardly ever get any responses, so it seemed mutually beneficial to ban me.
About not saying "Ah, sorry guys", etc.: first, I only explained in honest terms exactly why I posted it. In all truthfulness, I was directly answering a direct question. Whether or not it seemed jerk-like is up to your perception, and in comparison to other instances I've seen it shouldn't even matter. I've seen plenty be complete jerks to other people and nobody so much as whispered the word 'ban'. Also, I said what I said with benign intent. I would apologize as to way I said it, but again, unless I make some serious noise, I rarely get any attention.
And I didn't say "nothing you do is worth anything", I said, "What's the point?".
Very big difference, should you choose to acknowledge it or not. I'm a creative person, and cherish creativity, it is my own personal religion, my soulmate, the only place I can be comfortable.

Yeah, sorry, doesn't sound like a personal attack on anyone's creativity to me. Does it sound pessimistic? Sure. What was said is a lot closer to, Everything is eclipsed by the moon, than to pettily saying someone's work is worthless.

I agree with Surlaw's opinion for the most part, take a break for a while and get out and see some stuff. It's obvious you've got some stuff going on with your band and all (which is cool), but you might be pushing yourself too hard right now. Relax/chill.
Also, try to resist being drunk and getting online - the two don't really mix well  |

Well I did wrongly assume phc was an admin, but in the end he was just as vocal in his opposition as you were, and he usually is in every little tussle we find ourselves in, so that would be the main reason I addressed him too.

Ahh, c'mon. A few minutes after writing it, Fortis edited the post he wrote right after banning me. The post didn't used to be as simple as "Oh, since you asked for it!". And again, aaah c'mon. All of you had your 'finger on the trigger', ready to ban me should I give you any cause. "But you asked for it!" is exactly what a cop might say. Face it fellas, it's the 'official' reason, not the real reason.

I never made excuses, now did I? Instead I confessed a flaw, and answered your question directly. I haven't argued against people pissed off at my (rare) drunken rage posts. The only reason I challenged them to ban me was it became clear I couldn't have 'nihilist views' on slime salad: "So much as insinuate this again and you're banned. I'll tolerate your trolling to a much greater extent than I'll tolerate your nihilist slime." Silly. This indicates that it wasn't THAT I said something 'bad', it was more about my views in general. This doesn't sound silly to you? If not, then I don't know what else to say either.
And god damnit, I would welcome someone's drunken opinion at this point, instead of getting on to find zero replies, so that's really not a great point to make with me. I expect opposition, 'cause it's always there. Not everything is all about being positive and protecting peoples' feelings at all times.
Were I the owner of the site, I'd have talked with the guy in private messages, trying to ascertain whether or not he's just being an asshole. If not, I'd kindly ask him to consider other people's feelings before posting, drunk or not. That is the diplomatic way. That isn't what happened, so what kind of 'way' was displayed with me? Hmm?

Ok, I recognize that if I were to just say, "Sorry guys, didn't mean to be an ass", it would be like going the extra mile. Which would encourage you to do the same for me. Which is how it works. It may not be that we are just people who disagree. Maybe we're just lacking that 'extra mile', and inspiration to do it.

No, you also said, "everything we do means exactly 'jack." I'd say that's roughly equivalent.
Fortis didn't discuss the ban with me beforehand, but we've talked since. You're not permanently banned; on the off chance you decide to be less of a slime hole, we'll lift it and you can return to posting there. I've said it before and here it is again: I don't have anything against you personally. Your behavior on the website was, however, unacceptable, and had it continued you would have been banned anyway.
It's worth mentioning that Slime Salad is not Castle Paradox. It is a site about making games. To be a contributing community member requires more than just posting, it requires active participation in some part of the game design process. Were you a contributing community member in that sense, it would be harder to justify a ban. But when you're just there to "ruffle peoples' feathers" [i.e. troll] by your own admission, the community has no need for you.
It's a website, not a democracy, and the buck stops here (even if it was Fortis who executed the ban). That's my "official" stance.

You said you posted to "ruffle people's feathers". I don't care if you do it to "free yourself from the acceptance of others" or not, posting to incite a negative reaction is the very definition of trolling.
EDIT: and it doesn't really matter, anyway, because you WERE trolling and you DID ask to be banned.

In any case, I wouldn't have challenged you to ban me if I cared either way. If it were lifted I would probably contribute in some way once in a while, but I had gotten the strong impression, because of what moogs said (that my 'trolling' was more tolerable than my way of thinking), that slime salad wasn't a very good place to hang around.
Can't blame me for that impression.
