Now that I've found a less painful way of doing it, I'm going back to these soundtracks and converting them to the new software.
I might do Enchantae's Tower in the future, buuuut... I think it may be best just to leave it as it is. Its relevance to the real story is limited to vague legends, the pieces contained were written very close to my beginning stages as a midi composer, and having four 30/30+ minute pieces to the story seems just a little too weighed down. The trilogy set-up is just too natural feeling. If I do it, it'll be for novelty's sake (or complete boredom).
It'll probably take me a month to get them both converted, as it's not just the conversion I have to worry about, but with a complete change in quality and nature of sounds, all the dynamics have to be redone. Also, this would be the complete line-up (for the timeline's sake):
I Eldardeen (tentatively titled and not yet released)
II Flicker
III Drendaloria
In this lineup, the last two parts of the story were written a good deal of time before the first part, which means the composition itself also needs to be 'caught up' and reworked in parts where tricks in midi just don't translate.
I will release Eldardeen for the first time, along with the new versions of Flicker and Drendaloria, all at the same moment.
Since I'm basically finished with Eldardeen already, I'm aiming to release all this by the end of September.
Wish me luck. _________________ SACRE BLEU!
