Actually, it's what I like to call extra-logic.
It makes perfect sense, if you think really hard.

Let's begin with an example:

I support McCain and think Obama is bad. Obama wins and turns out to be good, I win. Obama wins and it turns out I was right, I win.
Now if McCain had won, then it would have been a win lose scenario.
If McCain won and turned out to be bad, I lose.

Since Obama won, I am in a very good position right now, my friends.
Don't question my logic. It's actually quite sound.

See, you think Obama is bad. And if he turns out to be good, that means you were WRONG about him. Do you understand? You're not winning, you are leeching success off of a great man who knows how to run a country far better than you. You are in a good position right now not because you were clever and thought you could "win" both ways, but because your fate is in the hands of people who know far better than you what is best for you.

Since my soul will not be at peace until I say this, here goes nothing.

I admit that I was a little immature. Instead of starting a controversy, I should have said something more along the lines of, "I think it would be best to keep politics off this forum, guys". That statement, to be frank, is my true feeling on this matter.

However, there is a hole in someone's logic regarding the "they had a right to attack you" thing. I had a right to attack them as well. I didn't start the fire (It was always burning since the world's been turning). The fire started when Battleblaze called McCain McCrack and PHC said something to the effect of "don't trust whitey". These comments were probably made in the best sense of humor possible, but they offended me none-the-less. They also have a negative impact on another person's image, which I believe is called Libel. Basically my right to oppose president elect Obama was forcefully taken from me and I was cruelly insulted to add injury. I feel it is a great injustice that the real perpetrators have yet to be lectured. Their comments exhibited wanton racism and bias, and that cannot be denied.

Wait, Surlaw is racist for making fun of BB for making up a dumb nickname for McCain? I don't follow.

No one's been taking this thread seriously for about a month now and no one's posted in the thread for about half that time.

1) For a statement to be libel, it needs to be demonstrably false. A silly nickname hardly constitutes libel.

2) Your right to oppose Obama was never infringed upon. Nobody censored you, they merely disagreed with you. They might have disagreed with you in a mean way, but that has nothing to do with your rights. Even if you were censored, that would not be an infringement on your rights, as this is a private server run by IM, and he has the right to keep or delete anything on it he chooses.

3) I definitely deny that the comments here were racist. 'McCrack' has nothing to do with race, and Surlaw's 'whitey' comment was obviously a joke. (He's a white dude, in case you were wondering.)

4) The folks who you consider 'perpetrators' were lectured. They were lectured by you. Nobody here has a responsibility to lecture anyone anyway. Just because you were alone in your opinion doesn't mean anything unfair happened to you.
