Put in a hundred or so global variables to get formation slots working.
Made a script so that assigning in-Custom enemy stats to global variables will now be super easy.
Misjudged size of attack frames and had to cut off the two left-most slots, which is fine as it saves me some global variables and possible headaches.
Have never wished more for arrays.
A seemingly functional target-select has been created.
[And for those of you that just like looking at pictures]

The base of Battle back-and-forths are set up.
Hero's got himself two options so far while the enemy only has one.
All are animated pretty well (I think) with attack sprites and such.
Aiming to complete the Hero's single special ability and then giving him one or two cantrip spells.
The enemy could also use a few more techniques.
Using items in battle will actually be pretty easy to implement, as I can just use the existing inventory.
Once these are solid, I can work on the gamy part of the game.

It's got a title, countless notebooks of planning, and three years worth of plot tweaking.
It's the epic I've been working on since forever but have only just started.
In other news, the Hero's basic special ability is functional!
Ohh yeah! |

I may have an unhealthy fetish for mountain-villages, but golly, do I like the concept of them. |

I seem to have an unhealthy fetish for forest towns.
*looks at Untitled and Hedgemaze*
I don't even like forest towns! _________________

EDIT: To complete the loop, I find desert cities/strongholds to be inspiring.
