Hey, so I've been making a Harry Potter game for the past few days now. If any one has anything to say about it, please say so. Tell me things like what you want to see in the game and any possible ideas (like a mini game for Quidditch or maybe potion making). Anyway, just say whatever you want to about it. I thank you. |

I think I will try to start keeping a log of my progress with the game. It will start below:
Nov 11: So right now I have the begining. Maybe I shouldn't tell to much, but I will. Kinda. Well, you start as Voldemort first of all. I also have 2 maps done- The Potters' home and Number 4 Privet Drive.
[EDIT]: I also have a total of 8 walkabouts, 4 heros, and 2 medium enemy graphics! So far, there are 13 spells that are working (like Avada Kedarva and Avis, Yay!
Perhaps people can also tell me detailed things that are NOT clearly gone over in the books/movie. |

Well, I have School! So, I prolly can't get a lot done. Plus, my brother's birthday is tomarrow, so I don't expect to get much done.
Log--
Nov 12: Since I didn't try to hard, I didn't find any Harry Potter music files in MIDI or MP3 'n' stuff. So, I gets me sumsheet music and used this
Anvil Studio thing to write it all done. I have Hedwig's Theme, Harry's Wonderous World, and The Weasly Stomp. Yay! |

Yeah, so I'm not going to post more stuff soon if no one will say anything about it (I know there aren't TOO many people on this site, but it feels like talking to my reflection). If anyone has any suggestions, then I will at least know i'm not completly wasting my time. Toodleoo. |

Yeah, sadly everyone has trouble attracting attention to journals they post in this section of the website. Fewer people read these than do the main forums, and almost everyone just lurks anyway (including me). People who posts their game journal to Slime Salad seem to have more success.
I'm wondering why you're asking about things "not clearly gone over in the book"? Are you looking for details that you can invent yourself? Sounds like a decent approach for a fan game.
A potion mixing minigame sounds pretty fun to me. It could be not-all-too-small part of the game, involving collecting ingredients, obtaining recipes (or clues to recipes, requiring experimentation to determine actual recipe!) and the fun of unknown outcomes. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

You could make a mini-game of Wizard's Chess! I think that would be really fun, to play, maybe gamble berty bott's beans? _________________ Happy RPG Makin |
