As far as it starting at "noon," there is no way to prevent that, since the engine will always load the default palette at first. It will flash noon before it changes to your timeofday. You can either ignore this or design your game in a way that loaded games start between 10:00am and 2:00pm, which all share the same palette as noon. Personally, I just wouldn't worry about it.

Sure about that? I thought the script starts executing the tick before the screen fades in from black, so palette changes are hidden. |
If that's the case, I didn't know. It's never been an issue. But won't the fadein try to execute anyway?
Either way, that's my bet on why it's flashing noon. _________________

You can't stop the fadein (but I suppose you could set the palette to black to hide it)
Is it doing that, did you test? Or are you just interpreting October's statements? I thought October meant that the time of day resets, rather than showing the wrong palette for a tick. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

Just interpreting October. It's pretty impossible to guess the time of day without spitting it out to the screen.
I plan to port the PS library to the OHR wiki at some point, which will allow readers to correct stupid mistakes in them as well as make it easier to add your own scripts. _________________
