ARFENHOUSE!!!1 #!!!

If you've played through the first two Arfenhouses, you have undeniably had a laugh or two. Arfenhouse 3 surpasses both of it's predecessors and is a game that's concept could only be conceived by a genius! Misteroo deserves full credit for putting together this hilarious, if not a disturbing, game. The Arfenhouse series is not designed to impress with flashy graphics or with an intricate storyline; it's a mockery of newbie games, and is DESIGNED to be bad. This game does the series justice in what is definately its' best game yet!

The game begins simply enough with a ripped zelda title screen and introduction, only a hint of what is to come. The basic jist of the storyline is that you are Housemaster, a slice of white bread (yes, that's right, you're a slice of bread), and you must stop a comet from hitting the earth with the help of your pikachu (can't get any worse than having pokemon in a game, :P). After the intro you'll fight...a pringles can. Let me assure you, this is only the beginning.

The graphics in the game range from good to awful. Some of the graphics look like they could have been drawn by a two year old, but every once in a while Misteroo flexes his artistic muscle and shows that he can draw with the best of the OHR. The main characters' walkabout graphics are all a single graphic for every direction. Also, for some reason unbeknownst to me, the game refers to Housemaster as bread, but his battle graphics don't show that. Actually, the maptiles were his best graphics in the whole game.

Yes, the music... all ripped, naturally. I wouldn't expect anything less from an Arfenhouse game. Nevertheless, it is used well and does flow well with the game. The dialogue in Arfenhouse 3 is practically illegible. What little you do understand seldom consists than more of "LOL! I KILL YOU! YOU DED! LOL!". The storyline constantly gets rewriten as the game goes on, switching from one objective to another, and shamelessly steals from commercial games. All magic spells cost 0 MP and you have NO IDEA what they do until after you use them. Most of the battles in the game are either too easy or too hard, and you gain levels pratically after every battle. A very positive point in this game is that it boasts 5 endings, some funnier than others.

Scores:
Graphics: There were some good graphics, such as the maptiles and the guards, but most of the graphics were bad.
4.0/10
Music: All the music is ripped, although it does suit the game.
2.0/10
Storyline: It might have a storyline...you'll have to interpret the dialogue first though, a task easier said than done.
3.0/10
Gameplay: Unequal battles, and poorly thought out attacks make it difficult to play.
3.0/10
Overall (Not an average score): It's certainly not the best game out there, but it is the funniest.
9.5/10
