Crab's Quest |
 |
...it's a poorly designed newbie game. Here we go again...
Storyline-
Crab, the main character of the game, watches as some spaceships crash into the ocean. So he goes off to tell his friends Piranha and find out what's going on. The two of them wander around underwater until they reach the shore, where piranha tells Crab to bugger off, and leaves. Crab wanders around on land, and enters a village of weird green things. Their leader, Hydrak joins, with his missing walkabouts, and his stats that go down as he levels up. So Crab and Hydrak go though a cave to the alien's lair, kill all of them, and the game ends.
Dialogue is poor, and the NPCs repeat themselves. Really, the lack of effort is painfully obvious, and most of the speech doesn’t make sense.
Graphics-
This game is incredibly ugly. I hate it when the author puts less time on their game then I do on their review. There's a total of five walkabouts in the game, and about the same number of enemies. The worst one was when you fight a great white shark, who looks exactly like your buddy Piranha. Stupid lazy game designer. The number of maptiles could fit on one set.
Gameplay-
Fight ugly enemies, talk to a few pointless NPCs, go through a poorly designed maze. This game is no where near the playable stage. Really, did the author play his game? I don't think anyone could have fun going through this thing, and the author should be ashamed of himself.
Music-
There's one track, ripped from the X-Files at the very end, and it's poorly placed. Look, you need music for your game. Simple as that.
