Ah, Ralfo's newbie game. There isn't quite like playing as Spiffy the warrior, leading your band of cronies around the world, searching for a ultimate weapon. Uh...I mean, the four crystals. No no, I meant a key to the Highlands. Hmm..looks like Spiffy's in for for one hell of an adventure.
Storyline: Spiffy sets out on a adventure. Spiffy meets friends. Friends help him solve puzzles and defeat dark ones. Player plays on and ignores poorly written dialogue. Tired player reaches Zany Town and beats the holy hell out of Regis on "Who wants to be a millionaire?". Player's faith in mankind is restored. Spiffy and company all pile into a single suit of armor and wreck forest. Spiffy and friends avoid the forest warden and hide in a haunted house. Evil wall ghost thingy attacks, Redwand casts flame wall and kills the monster. Spell also burns down the house. End of demo! Ralfo promises more! To bad it's discontinued. Playing time-3:30
Graphics: There not to bad, better then normal newbie graphics. Still, poor Spiff, and everyone else, walk like they've got severe hemorrhoids. I’d wear a metal mask to if it hid my grimace of pain I made with every step I took. As the game progresses, the graphics do get better. By the the end there probably worth a 7 or higher. And the best part? At the end of battle, no more matter how badly hurt they are, Spiffy and his team of adventures dance to celebrate their victory. Well, all except Darkclaw, but he's a stuffy ninja.
Gameplay: Fun battles, spells that actually hurt, and plenty of mead to drink. (But watch out for the X kind, it's flat.) You couldn't ask for a better time for a bunch of drunken rabble rousers. Well done puzzles, particlaurly in the Ice Palace, and interesting weapons and armors keep the game interesting.
Music: Hehe. Goes from folksong to the latest 90ties hit. Purely bizarre.
