The Legend of the Magic Sword

The game is about a boy named "James" who is the-only-hope-for-the-world. He ends up being lost then you take control. Unfortunately all that happens is you wonder through two rooms of forest and find a house. The story isn`t laid out and it is frustrating that it wasn`t much to do.

The game has some nice graphics, but then again, not everything is nice looking. There is no such thing as an overworld map. Comparing the games graphics is weird. The walkabouts were decent, though they animate strangely and the tiles are nothing special. The enemy graphics were good for a matter. Blobs don`t really cut it though.

The music is ripped all from the editor. Although it was placed nicely, it proves not much effort was put into searching. It does, very well, set the mood.

Legend of The Magic Sword has not much of a story. It reminds me of the you-are-the-worlds-only-hope games. The character, James, isn`t presented in anyway to learn about. Atleast he had correct grammar in the four text boxes.

This game is awful boring. The character is a bit fast. Battles were just holding down the spacebar. Experience and money are quite unheard of. There are only 3 battles! You don`t have any spells available. The game is 20 seconds. If you want a fun game don`t get this.

Scores:
Graphics: I never saw anything special except the title screen. The walkabouts were awkward looking to me, so were the battle graphics.
6.0/10.0
Music: It`s ripped from the editor. However, most of it fits(for twenty seconds though...).
5.0/10.0
Storyline: Story? What story? All I knew was walking through the" forest."
1.0/10.0
Gameplay: A good waste of 20 seconds. Only 3 battles, no spells, one hero, and boring battles. Bad compounding.
3.0/10.0
Overall (Not an average score): Proven once again, graphics and music aren`t everything.
4.0/10.0
