Sailor Moon RPG: Another Dimension

Another Sailor Moon fan game with a scripting error that doesn't let me complete the game. Hmm. I'm beginning to suspect the work of a fanboy cult and there curses.

Storyline- This time Queen Beryl sends the Sailor Scouts to an alternate dimension. Woo. A mysterious new villain named Jasmine harasses our heroes, and Serena is forced to wander around saving the other scouts from various enemies. After wandering going through a large and boring cave, there is a scripting error, which keeps the screen shaking in an earthquake, and occasionally the phrase "Scripting Error" flashing across the screen. I tried to get through twice and ran into it both times. Bah.

Graphics- Again, I can't see why someone whose so decently talented artistic wise would make a fan game. The graphics all look original, save for the cutscenes, which were obviously taken from the TV show. Though the cut scenes do add to the game, and the graphics aren't bad, the game just isn't all that interesting. And in battles, the girls look vaguely masculine, which I at least find disturbing. The enemy graphics are actually pretty decent, to bad they don't carry over to the rest of the game. You can tell it was laziness that kept this game from looking great. Mostly by seeing poor Luna's walkabouts. The cat never got proper ones, so she's forced to bounce around on her butt.

Gameplay- Urgh. The lack of a weapon shop leaves you feeling powerless, and a overly long cave dungeon is not cool. The Eastern Cave has plenty of tough enemies, and a ton of bosses. You're gonna fight giant shells, witches, giant spiders, sharks, Jasmine..the list goes on. With no place to buy items, and the entrance so far away, the dungeon becomes boring and tedious, having to carefully level gain and use healing spells. End it with a scripting error, and you've got a very poor playing experience.

Music- Ripped from the show, placed for the most part decently. Except the cave theme, which was repeated so much it became annoying.

Scores:
Graphics: Lack of effort is the biggest problem here.
5.0/10
Music: Good of you to use music from the game, stupid of you to place it where you did.
4.0/10
Storyline: The game's plot barely managed to keep me conscience, let alone keep my interest.
2.0/10
Gameplay: I don't know if you think dragging you're dead friends through a huge cave for no reason is fun, but I sure don't think it is.
1.0/10
Overall (Not an average score): Another boring and pointless fan game. I don't know why so many of these things come out.
3.0/10
