Spirit Master

Glatus witnesses a giant ghost stab Daimen in the stomach. Glatus calls Daimen's name. No response. Glatus takes Daimen to a healer who tells a boring legend while Daimen talks to himself. The healer tells Daimen that he is the one in the legend, the Spirit Master. "You'll have to repay me for healing you," says the healer. Daimen asks 'by being your slave?'. The healer now states 'No, you don't have to pay me'.

Riiiiight...whew, the boring factor just rose 3 notches. The story seems to go on and on with no emotions or sense. It's just THERE. "I think the ghost that stabbed me was the one who killed my mother." What the hell? There isn't any other way to state this, it is, and I quote "frickin' boring!'. I could go on and on about how pointless the storyline is, but that's no fun, so I will criticize a new subject.First of all, the graphics are pretty good. The one odd thing is the familiar motion of Daimen's hand when he walks left or right...heh. The title screen looks like it took about 20 seconds to draw (rectanges are harder than squares), but if you notice it does a little...black.....to red thing.

Maybe it's not fair to have two bad sections, but by God I'll do it anyway because this game deserves no less! As I've stated the story makes this game NO fun at all, not to mention the fact that Daimen has an odd habbit of talking to himself every sentance. The music sounded original or just badly converted, but all original music gets average (5) + 2. There was also some bad mapping. The 'mountain' looked like...nothing really, just a grass path placed misc. in dirt. And another thing, it is ARMOR not ARMOUR! I hate when people say ARMOUR and COLOUR. Bleh, always making words longer to type.

That pretty much sums up the game. Before viewing these scores, keep in mind that this game was terrible and deserved even lower scores! It just so happens that I have some heart, so I let a few things slide.

Scores:
Graphics: Original......nice.....ahh
8.5/10
Music: Original I think...not good original, but fair original.
7.5/10
Storyline: Ghosts killing mothers. A boy talking to himself. Obscene hand motions. Ya, that sums up the story.
1.0/10
Gameplay: I consider storyline/plot a big part of gameplay, therefor the score took a downward spiral. Also there were a few bugs I noticed.
2.0/10
Overall (Not an average score): Overall, when we look at this game, it is fair to say "Bugamon Quest has a new rival!" I guess if you like good art you would want to play this game, but beware, a boring plot lurks around these spiffy graphics. Basically, the best part of this game was it's cool name.
