Triple Triad

Triple Triad, possibly the coolest mini-game to be featured in a Final Fantasy! The goal of Triple Triad is to have majority of the cards on the playing board your color. The game starts by choosing 5 random cards for each player, and the player takes turns putting the cards down on a 3 by 3 playing board trying to change the color of their opponents cards. But in order to change the color, the player must put down the card so that one of his numbers are bigger than the adjacent number of the opponent's card. Sound simple? It is!

In Grandtrain's version of Triple Triad, there aren't all of the rules of the original FFVIII version, only the "Basic rule" is included. But that's fine by me! It is still as fun and addicting as the original. Too bad you can only play against human players. Also in this version, the player can select the character they wish to play as. You can choose between Squall, Quistis, Zell, and Selphie. But they don't really add to the game, they just keep the score.

Unfortunatly, the graphics for the game are rather... plain. The cards are only one color for each player, and the gameboard is only two colors. At least the character graphics and title screen are nice. That's all the good graphics there are.

Scores:
Graphics: Graphics are pretty much blah! But the title screen and heroes make up for lost points.

Storyline: Once upon a time, Grandtrain wanted to make Triple Triad on the OHR. He worked long, hard hours with no pay. He was successful. Umm... the game doesn't tell me that, but... you know...

Gameplay: Go ahead, challenge your friends! If you don't have friends, well, then, play it by yourself, or something.
8.0/10.0
Overall (Not an average score): It looks, to me, like Grandtrain only started this game, and quickly released it to show the rest of the community. Good start, but we need more features to it.
