Making sure your review is legit: So you want to review a game eh? Great! But there are some technicalities you need to go through first. Firstly, Operation: OHR will only accept reviews for games whose author's have allowed their games to be rated. Therefore, you can not rate a game that is not on this list or has not been previously rated. If you want to review a game that is not on this list, or previously reviewed, direct the creator to the "submit your game" and tell them to sumbit their game. Secondly, you may not review a game that has not been publicly released. The point of reviews are to let the public know about the latest released games. Thirdly, you may not review a game if you are some how affiliated with it's author. Ie. no one in the same company may review another's games. I will have the final judgement call on this. If you've passed all the criteria, you're ready to review. All you have to do now is download this review making program, created by Eradin, which will help you format your review. In order to install the reviewing program, simply run "setup.exe" which is contained in the zip folder. (Please note that prior to February 20, 2001 reviews were formatted using an entirely different program, created by StellarX, but this software should no longer be used.) Writing your review: Writing a review is easy. All you have to do is write your opinion. In your body paragraphs, you simply state what you thought about the game. There aren't many more constraints than that. After the body of the review you are expected to give a small description along with a score out of 10 for each of the following categories:
In order to finish your review, just fill in all the fields of the reviewing program, save it, and send the .shtml file generated as an attachment to operationohr@yahoo.com. |
