These are characters from my upcoming game, Urban Fantasy...
This is Ryan. He is a special NPC that would simply have to be the first and second hardest enemy in the game. Hmm... now that guy looks like someone I know well... |

Erm... Got to be sensitive here...
I don't like them. Ryan's neck is seriously too small, and his proportions are really out of whack (it's the torso again, it about twice as long as it should be).
The werewolf looks like a horse, and his piercings (that's what those circles are, right?) could be a lot better. They're pretty obscure. Where is his mouth, by the way?
I suppose it might be good not to dwell on the bad, though... So, the shadings pretty good? Yeah, I'd say it's decent...

Hm... You really should practice figure drawing some more. You're getting better, in some ways. But at the same time, it seems like you're getting worse in other ways. I did some quick sketches in paint of a more accurate figure, and (hopefully) a more accurate profile of a warewolf. I'm not really sure about the wolf, though. You'd probably have to ask someone like Fenrir about that sort of thing.
But anyway, on your guy, everything Uncommon said is right. Plus, his head is too far back. His hands don't really look much like they are actually grasping whatever it is he is supposed to be grasping. On the wolf, try making his peircings thicker, and give him holes on his face where they go into his skin. In my opinion, it would look much cleaner and make the peircings more distinguished if you removed one or two of them. You kind of overdid it. _________________ insert myspace link here. |

You don't need to tell me his head is to far back. Haha.
Fenrir won't talk to me. He hates me. Hell, everyone on CP does. There goes that "asking for help" idea. Damn. I'm screwed, but I think it's okay. It doesn't have to be like a pro-furry artist's work to have a little skill. I like drawing furries, but I'm not, like, a pro.
Anyway...
This is Dinitro. He is Eggie's newly bested friend. He is Japanese-Italian, and unlike the rest of the people and the game, he uses a katana. A sexy katana. Katana... Sexy... |

I'm not sure that everyone hates you, so much as they fear giving you advice due to your Gonterego.
As for your Samurai, his whole body is kind of lopsided, and his arm to leg preportions look wierd. I know you refuse to do anyhting about the whole arm-torso-leg thing, but I might be able to give you advice about the lopsided look. My guess is that you draw the head, then the torso, then the arms and legs, right? Try drawing like a stick figure to get all the locations right, then doing all the detail to finish it.
Also, your Katana looks more like a falchion... it shouldn't be curved like that. Nor should the character be holding the blade with his hand. Ouch. |

I don't draw furries, Eggie, but I do draw anthropoids (which is more correct than Anthro, as anthropoid is an actual word, a noun that describes something anthropomorphic; anyway, enough rambling about grammar) and would be able to help you with a werewolf head profile. Actually, I have one on my website already...
Yeah, so, I hope that helps. If it doesn't, maybe I'll draw a new one for you. An example of how Were-Eggie (or whatever his name is, since you abstained from stating it) should look, perhaps.
A finall rant: Anthro frickin' doesn't work! Anthro is part of the Greek root "anthropo", which means "human being", so Anthro not only means what it shouldn't, but is incomplete as well! That's why I started using anthropoid instead of anthromorph. It just doesn't make etymological sense! Grah!! Bear with me, please, I'm an amateur etymologist. I do this type of stuff for fun.
Yes, I am a frickin' nerd. All I'm missing is the glasses (and I do so wish I had them!) and the ugly face. I'm a nerd disguised as a rocker. |

The full term that no one uses is actually zoanthropomorphic, or so I've been told (something like "an animal in the form of a human" I think). It's just been continuously shortened. _________________ Locked

Wouldn't that be "zooanthropomorphic", with two o's? I don't know, I could be wrong. Well, in my opinion, that's just too many syllables to bother with. Besides, I don't think that's really necessary, only more specialized. One great thing about anthropoid is that it's not only correct, but the same amount of syllables as the incorrect word I was using before. |

Theirianthrope? Antherion? Actually I think the second one is slightly more accurate. Traditionally though, they've been called anthros/furries interchangably since at LEAST the 1950's when the Bugs Bunny cartoons were considered fairly popular. Regardless of whatever they're called, they'll still be drawn for a good couple more thousand years or so, considering that Anubis (the first steriotypically anthropomorphicly drawn deity) is several thousand years old himself. Here's more or less a step by step rendition of a anth... whatever. A head. Voila.

Fenrir, are you an idiot? In couple thousand years, drawing will have been completely replaced by Poser 3D modleing, which still won't look any better than it does today. |

Asking if one of the most respected people in the forum is an idiot is not a smart thing to do. _________________ Locked
