Well, it's really just an idea that the author him/herself would elaborate on. That's one of the things that makes writing fun. |

Demons...Angels...reminds me of Castlevania!
What kind of theme do you think you are going to revolve around? Dark Gothic type (Castlevania) or fantasy world with demons (Inu-yasha, etc.)?
Just curious. There aren't enough Dark Gothic type games nowadays... _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |

Erm... any ideas for a story? |
Just dont' steal mine. I started a game about demons and greater evil vs. Greater good about 2 years ago, but haven't finished it yet. LOL!
( The twist that I have is that neither good nor evil can destroy eachother, so the game I am planning ends with an eternal battle between the two... This is what you cannot steal)
Have fun! _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

LeRoy, you've told nearly no one about Dark Emblem, so I wouldn't worry about anyone stealing it. (except me, muahahaha-*hack cough cough* nevermind.) Anyway, I'm more for the InuYasha deal, since I just like that setting. Dark "Goth" type games just aren't really too fun for me. *shrugs* (pssst...I'm scared of the dark.) (pssst again, just kidding. ) _________________ * SDHawk has joined #Minnek

Dak, Gothic type games are hard to pull off well, at least for me. The lighting is a major factor in enjoyment of the game, and it's really hard to make good-looking darkness. I still like them better than generic fantasy setting, though. Better atmosphere, and, as some of you may know, I'm really into good atmosphere in a game. _________________ UP DOWN UP DOWN LEFT LEFT RIGHT RIGHT A B START |

I was thinking about including all the demony things, like Demon, Fallen Angels, Valkyries, Farieys, Vampyres, Yadda yadda yadda. Something original. I now actually HAVE a story, but i'm not telling yet. Look out for a demo some time in January, maybe December. Keep checking the art corner, there is art in the making! _________________

Valkyries are gods, not demons. Faeries and vampires are also not demons. I think demons and fallen angels are the same things (not sure though). _________________ Locked

Ah- No! Demons were always evil, Fallen Angels used to be good (hence the angels bit) but turned bad. I thought Valkyries were ladies who worked for Odin, and gathered up the souls of dead warriors, to fight a huge war or something. I KNOW Faeries and Vampyres are not demons, but they can be evil. So there. I now have a name for my creation- want to hear it? _________________

Here's a few "facts" that might help inspire you:
1) Demons use mirrors as portals between their dimension and ours.
2) Demons sometimes inhabit the bodies of living creatures (posession) in order to survive longer; using the body as a sort of "shuttle". _________________ Play Horrible Fantasy NOW! |

Valkyries did work for Odin, but i think it was more along the lines of protecting Odin's armoury... that's why some games portray Valkyries as holy beings...
Vampires was based on a paranoid man's life... i forgot his real name, but people believed him to be the source of all evil... one fact that was kept was that he roamed the streets only at the dead of night.
Fairies are pixies which in turn leads to forest nymphs, where their job is to sustain harmony within their forest or die trying. americans refer to fairies as faeries... ... and demons as daemons. (don't as how it came to be) _________________ If we were a pack of dogs, IM would be a grand Hound, CN would be a very ficious little pitball, and Giz...well, it doesn't matter breed he is, he'd still be a bitch

Thanks, no_shot. I was thinking about having a guy possessed. Y'see, i've decided that this demon wants all of a certain group of warriors to do his bidding. So, he hunts them down, and extracts their soul using any means nessecary. Except, when he finds the last one, before he dies, he exiles his soul, so the demon can't get it. So, the soul overtakes another guy's(guy1) body. Then the demon hunts down guy1 (with the soul), who now has the powers of the other guy. Because the demon has the rest of the warriors souls, he gives one to a human(guy2), turning the human evil, and giving him all the warriors powers. Except the human is a friend of guy1, so guy1 has to cope with his best friend turning against him. Then theres all the other stuff, but i'm not gonna reveal that yet.
So, what do you think? I NEED FEEDBACK ON THIS PART OF THE STORY PLEASE! _________________

Demons are Fallen Angels. Before Lucifer fell with his angels, there were no demons.

It was Count Vladimir Dracula, AKA Vlad the Impaler. There are a few articles about him on Hamster Republic ("The Historical Vlad" and "Where is Vlad Now?"), and he had a cameo in Bob the Hamster VGA.

Actually, you've got it mixed around. I only call them Faeries because I prefer the British way. And Demons and Daemons (contrary to popular opinion) are actually two different things. Demons, as we all know, are evil spirits/Fallen Angels, but Daemons are actually Greek demi-gods. Completely different things.
Your story sounds interesting, Roach. I look forward to seeing more of it. |
