Actually Roach was right. The word Valkyrie means "Chooser of the Slain" (and no, I'm not just getting my information from Valkyrie Profile). However Valkyries may protect Odin's armory as well, I really don't know.

Yeah, I certainly don't remember that part of the myth, either, Iblis. I only remember them as the ferriers of the battle-slain and general attendants to the warriors.
