Yeah, the Neo Geo Lovers Usergroup is now opening a Waku Waku 7 tournament. Every month(or 2, depending on conditions), from now on, there will be at least one tournament from a popular game.
This month, it's Waku Waku 7! The date as of now is unknown, but we only have 4 people(3 who know good times), and we need at least 8 entries. Of these people, we need times that are good for EVERYONE, so join folks.
And it's okay if you've never played it before/don't like fighting games/are inexperienced/bad at it, so are most of us.
Don't reply to this thread if you're going to say something off topic or say "Sorry I can't enter because ___".
Rules are as follows
56k connections will probably not be allowed UNLESS a reliable connection is shown
Players outside North America will not be allowed
Players in Canada & Mexico may be allowed if they show a reliable connection
Please be aware that the majority will likely be USA players
All tournaments will be double elimination with a loser's bracket & winner's bracket
The finalist in both brackets will face each other in the Finals
All matches prior to the Finals are the best 3 out of 5
The Finals are the best 4 out of 7
Winner's finalist has to win once while the loser's finalist has to win twice
Players agree to the server to play in before the match
It is recommended that players test the server they wish to use before the match
Testing the server will help pin point lag and technical problems
No excuses will be considered for players who don't test servers before they play
All ROM settings such as time limit, turbo, damage, ect. must be left to default
In the event of a match ending with a double K.O. players enter sudden death
In sudden death the next player to win the next round, not match, wins
All matches will be set up through AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) on tournament day (www.aim.com)
You must stay signed into AIM and available during the tournament
You are allowed to turn AIM off or set it to away only while you play a match
There will be seeding in tournaments for the fairness and quality of competition
The top four players will be spread out in both brackets based on the Rankings
All other players will be randomly placed in the bracket by a number generator
Players have 15 minutes from the start of the tournament to communicate through AIM
No exceptions

PLAYER CONDUCT

Once a tournament starts it will be assumed that players know the rules, no exception
Don't trash talk
Don't whine for any reason.
Don't cause lag on purpose with excessive text or manipulating the game window
Use common sense
Make sure your buttons are set before you play
Once a game has been started do not reset or pause the game for any reason

Do not drop out of a playing game for any reason; the exception is a server crash
Once you agree to start the game you have to play through anything that happens
It is recommended that players test the server to avoid any technical problems

If you have questions try to ask them before the tournament starts
You must be on time, no exceptions will be made for any reason

There are three ways you can be removed from a tournament:

DISQUALIFICATION (DQ) = Breaking any rule; results in a penalty
GIVE UP = If you quit just because you felt like it; results in a penalty
FORFEIT = Quitting due to technical things beyond your control; results in no penalty
A player will receive a bye if their opponent is removed from a tournament

Players may receive byes due to the odd number of players in a bracket
Do not cheat or manipulate anything associated with a tournament (duh)
The use of macros and rapid fire is not allowed (duh)
Intimidating or harassing other players is not allowed (duh)
Purposely losing to alter tournament results is not allowed (duh)
Hopefully I don't have to go through these penalties with anyone. We're all able to accept our losses and defeats in what we do, so do it maturely.

Sorry for the double post, but it's for the purpose of lag(I.E. CP is laggy as hell for me trying to post.).
I forgot to mention that you can't see the Neo Geo board unless you join the Neo Geo Lovers usergroup.
