I know this is tedious. But when I logged on last night and uploaded HQ EX I accidentally forgot like 3 important things. So wait until like 5 this evening before you download it so I can put fix these things. Sorry for the inconveinence. And if I am not able to, it's because my dad decided to piss me off and not let me log on. But odds are it'll be on. Sorry again. The things I need to put are minor, so it won't affect the gameplay if you've already started playing though. Send me a PM if you would like to know just what you're missing if you started off. I don't want to reveal any secrets in the thread. Hehe. Once again, sorry about all of this...

Hey, it doesn't affect the gameplay, it's just secret stuff, like items. Nothing to complain about though.

Hrm...

Finished playing the Halloween Quest Expansion. Personally, I felt that the original game wrapped things up well enough for a sequel and such, the expansion does further develop the characters, including the final boss, which I liked. On the other side, the addition of Harry Potter, the Wanderer, and some of the extra battles, in my opinion, didn't really add anything interesting to the game.

The original ending for HQ was good because the player dived in, defeated the final boss, and was left with a feeling that everything was finally all over. In the expansion, and with the addition of the Marador's Map, the game takes on the feeling of a much larger quest, one where being able to revisit locations is a good way to bring back memories. However, since HQ was such a short game, and since many of the locations remained virually unchanged in the expansion, this was unnesscary.

All told, I highl reccomend playing the Halloween Quest Expansion, since it does offer a unique extra hour or so of gameplay that Red felt the HQ would benefit from. While I believe that the idea of OHR games getting expansion rather then demo updates is certainly something to look into, in HQ's case, nothing overly special was added.

Like CN said, not much was changed. There were two more areas to go off and visit. Extending the gameplay, and, not to mention the depth of the character development. Anyways, although the first version did wrap it up I felt it neccessary to build the characters up before it ended. So when next Halloween came around, you would kinda know how they were, and what you'd think they'd do in a certain situation. Basically, it was preparing not only the player, but the characters in the game for the sequel which will as Shadowiii hoped, will build upon the story. I know it's a year away, but the sequel will be very very promising. And most questions will be answered. But yeah... Thanks for the review Shadowiii. It made my day. hehe.
